More like a 2 1/2 star review.
The good:
--location as the hotel is close to public transportation and food/bars
--accommodations (basic but who needs more than a place to rest your head when traveling) are clean and comfortable though lacking in some amenities which must be retrieved from the front desk.
--helpful and patient staff
The bad:
--no fans in the room/available from the front desk; summer is hot and the rooms lack airflow which leads to terrible sleep.
-- laundry service consists of one washer with limited access; spent an entire morning (9 am to noon... Good thing it was raining) waiting for one other person to finish their massive loads laundry so I (yes, me) could do my one single load (spoiler: it didn't get done)
--small shower en suite. You literally cannot turn around with out getting tangled in the shower curtain or stepping out of the shower.
--front desk unmanned in the middle of the day and from 12-3 on Sunday's. While they will helpfully hold your bag post check-out until your departure, lack of person in the middle of the day makes it hard to retrieve your bag in a timely manner or get answers to question for that matter.
--Breakfast is not included and not worth the extra money. Skip it and go to the patisserie down the road.
In general, not a bad place to stay a night or two. Longer stays, as mine was, are a bit of a hassle based on the lack of services and amenities. read more
