After my new accountant looked over out taxes for the previous two years she saw several places where they made mistakes or numbers didn't add up and they just made a fake account like inventory to put all the leftovers. Needless to say we had a big mess to clean up at the expense of our company. They are more interested in passing out their religious pamphlets then actually running a professional business. Visited the Bistro for lunch this week with Dawn Q. I had the "Chef's Plate" of meatloaf, mashed potatoes and green beans for $4.99. The food was solid, there was a lot of it, and it was cooked and served by students in Goodwill's job training program. My lunch buddy had a veggie wrap and gave her meal two thumbs up as well. I will definitely be back. I stopped by the Coffee Buzz (Goodwill's barista training program coffee shop) on my way out for a cappuccino from some uber-friendly baristas. The foam was perfection, but the drink took about 10 minutes to get to me. I was prepared for the wait, having known this was a training location, but I heard another customer grumbling about his own wait. To this I say -- chill out buddy! I was looking for work retraining…read more After doing my homework with this place and viewing online the PDF page where there was a list of programs I decided on one, having made my plans to enroll, then get employed, perhaps move out of state to join my fiancé who lives in the Midwest. Well guess what? Not only was the page NOT updated but Goodwill doesn't even offer the job training program any more. I emailed the address only to have it bounce back as undeliverable. I called the phone number connected with the job training program only to get an automated voice say that the call can not be connected which I might add was listed as the phone number to call on the Goodwill Milgard PDF page. Way to go Goodwill. Don't understand why the page could not have been updated, I had to waste my time emailing, calling a phone number that wasn't any good. I already am going through a difficult time REAL difficult. I feel that this organization could care less. It's public school all over again. Is it because that you are funded & you have this callous "who cares" attitude? Yet I'm shamed because I don't have a job. The receptionist at Goodwill sure wasn't helpful. Want to know what she said to me when I asked her about the program I was interested in, and she said that the program wasn't offered anymore. I grew a bit irritated, then I was silent. She replies with "Is that It"? This place? Awful! Thanks for nothing!

RUN FOR THE HILLS & DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE!…read more I will absolutely NEVER use this company, specifically Caroline, again for my taxes. As a real estate investor who has a pretty standard W2 job - I wanted an expert to help us (my fiance and I) get the most depreciation from our real estate investments and we were willing to pay the high premium for their expertise. Well boy, were we wrong. At first everything was going according to plan...until it wasn't.... Caroline stopped responding to emails and phone calls until I had to call her assistant multiple times a week to ask for follow ups as we were approaching our tax extension deadline quickly. Finally got a hold of Caroline and she started filing our taxes using all of our documents we sent her from Quickbooks - we also had a brief (under 5 minute conversation about potentially doing a Cost Seg on our new investment property and while we were on the phone, we both agreed it wouldn't be financially beneficial for us to do that this year and we would revisit next year). Then this is where it turned south quickly. Caroline and her team got all of our documents together and since they charged $3,000+ to file our taxes - I thought we would be getting money back to offset it. Well on the phone when she and her team went through the filing, she had stated "great news, we are going to end up with a $14,000 tax return"..... turns out on email the very same day the tax return went from $14,000 to $4,000 so barely enough to cover our costs to hire Jeff Baker & Associates. This was Red flag #1. It was honestly extremely unprofessional to state and get us excited on one number and then put in an email a completely separate number that was much lower. Also, she denies ever saying that number but both of us heard the number loud and clear and had written the same number ($14,000) down in our notebooks - so it just didn't appear out of thing air as she claimed. Red Flag #2 popped up quickly after we had realized that we wouldn't be getting any money back, instead we would be in the negatives this year after paying Caroline & her team. Caroline sends her invoice and what pops up.... an $1,250 additional charge for a Cost Segregation....which again we decided not to do and she mentioned she charged us that amount because we had that conversation with her and she provided expert advise. She then asked if I would consider a $350 discount on the $1,250 fee she was trying to charge us - absolutely laughable. Needless to say after the experience I had with her team by this point....we did not pay the additional $1,250 fee and only paid for the work she did for us. Unfortunately, Caroline and Jeff Baker & Associates was a referral and I didn't do as much due diligence as I should have. DO NOT MAKE MY MISTAKE. I would use anyone over Caroline & her team. It was an unsatisfactory experience at best and one that hurt us financially as well. We will never make that same mistake again and would never recommend this company to anyone.
