The good...the rolls are good. The bad...pretty much everything else. Steak...tough and overcooked. It might have been medium when it left the grill but when they put it on a sizzling platter it cooked to just about well done. Baked potato...I opted for the "loaded" baked potato which was $.99 up charge. Not a lot of money, but if you're charging me for cheese and bacon bits it would be nice to get more than a couple of sprinkles of each. Salad...it was supposed to be a caesar salad...it wasn't. The hostess Crystal was great, very personable and conversive even with her being busy and running around. My husband and I just in the last month found Logan's. We are from Florence, about 35-40 miles away. Just getting that far away we always get better service. We found the same at Logan's, food was great, love the peanuts! We had a very good time there. And it is on our Keeper List. You'll just have to try it for yourselves. Tonight my husband and I went to have dinner. BIG MISTAKE!! My husband ordered his steak without seasoning and it came covered. We both waited for tea refills for over 10 minutes . During that 10 minutes, we observed our waitress standing and chatting after she said she would be back in a minute with tea and then she blamed her delay on other customers. Just plain Gross! My wife and I have tried Logan's three times as an alternative to Outback. Our mistake! Should have learned from the first two bad experiences, was definitely our stupidity. I received a ribeye stake on my last visit that was spoiled with a very funky taste, I sent it back thinking all would be well, NO I received a second Ribeye steak that was also spoiled, I called the manager over and explained that this was the second steak I received that was spoiled and I did not want it, his response was shockingly "sorry we cut that one from the same stock as the last one you had, I'll cut you a fresh one from new stock" Hello!! should have done this the first time. Any way I said no thank you, He did not make us pay and I have and will never go back. How can you not enjoy throwing peanut shells on the floor? It's one of the only places I know that you can do that...try it at home and you're stuck with cleaning up the mess... From that many times I've been here, it's been top-notch... I frequently get the Baby-Back Ribs (full portion with the baked potato and salad with ranch dressing... The Deluxe Roadhouse Burger with potato chips is off the chain as well... There is just something about the salad...maybe it's the BACON (Bacon makes everything better)....I don't mean to knock the rolls, but sometimes I get doughy rolls with the middle kind of chewy (Ryan's is tops with rolls) and Logan's needs Honey butter... Timing is good on food preparation and delivery...Eat a roll or 2 and your peanuts before the salad is brought...when you're still eating the salad or just as you're finishing it the main course appears... Been here twice, the first time I got sick and vowed to never return. After a couple of months a friend had their birthday here so decided to give it another try. The waiter was slow and seemed like maybe he had a screw loose or something. He had a hard time repeating orders back and forgot things frequently. He would disappear for extended periods of time. I ordered a steak medium rare and it came out (after an hour and half) well done and chewy. I sent it back. The rest of the table got their food and were able to eat. After about half an hour I got my food and it was over cooked again. My guess is the waiter didn't get it when it was ready and it got overlooked under the heat lamps. Overall my husband and I have been nothing but disappointed with this place. We haven't gone back and don't plan to. Slow staff and mediocre food isn't worth the wait. read more

I was going to endure the music anyway for one of their steaks tonight, but when calling in a reservation the lady who was answering the phone refused to do so for "only two people". I think this place is pretty great. Living in NY, you don't really go to restaurants like this. Peanut shells all over the floor, sprawling spaces with tables to accommodate groups of 10+. This place is very very friendly and the service we had was impeccable. Aside from one waitress wearing her contaminated stethoscope out (from a previous job I presume) (we were eating dinner with a specialty diseases doctor), it was a great experience. I got the steak salad and everyone else got the country fried steak. We got the fried mushrooms, the friend onions, and all of them were mouth-watering, heart-attack inducing, delciousness. :) I love this place!! read more

We've been here numerous times, and although the service is hit or miss, the food is spot on. We normally get the Onions Brewsky to share and an extra side salad because we tend to fill up on the yummy rolls before the food even arrives. We love the Onions Brewsky but are quite satisfied with other items on the menu also. The Roadhouse Teas are delicious and potent, and so very worth trying. read more

Me girlfriend and I visited this restaurant on November 30, 2013. The atmosphere a was fine and we were seated in a timely manner. Our waitress, Genny, was courteous and took our orders Ina timely manner. We ordered a porterhouse and t-bone steaks, which came with a side and salad. The salad was fresh and meal was presentable. However, we were disappointed with the steaks - not very flavorful or tender. We notified the waitress and the manager, Tommie, came to our table to apologize and offered to replace the steaks. Great service. Great food. My friends and I were seated real quick specially coming in for dinner time. Server came with dinner rolls and butter, which were pretty good also. I had the combo entree, sirloin steak and grilled shrimp along with a loaded baked potato. Entree also came with a choice salad. The worst experience that I've ever had at this restaurant. Our entire tables' orders were completely wrong, and went unnoticed by the waitress who took our orders. They were not too busy, so that couldn't have been the reason. The management had no intentions on asking us how we were doing and even walked past us without a glance as we left. My husband and I ate here a week ago and I must say the Ribs were the best I've ever eaten! I like the BBQ sauce they use, very tender, fall off the bone. The loaded mashed potatoes were good as well. The only complaint I have is the sirloin that came with the ribs was very chewy, tough, grissly. I did not enjoy it at all. I gave it to my husband who also had trouble chewing it. He order "the Logan" and he said his sirloin was tender and good. We will return but I won't order steak! I'll stick with the ribs.
