There is also sculpture on the campus grounds. Taking photos inside the museum is not permitted but that's not really a problem because there is no depth to this collection: it's easy to breeze through here in about 30 minutes. However, there is one whimsical piece that rises above it all: Klompen. It's a room of wood clogs suspend from strings. Put a coin into the box and it turns on electronic instrumentation that creates sounds in the clogs. It's like a very elaborate wind chime and it gives a sense of humor to an otherwise dull visit.

That's very much the vibe that you get at Jump the Moon-a creative space where anyone can hop in and make something amazing. The thing that impressed me the most was the accessibility of it all. I was given a tour of the facility and noticed multiple stations and tools that were put into place for people with varying degrees of mobility. If you're an artist that uses a wheelchair or an artist that uses a communication device, you can easily immerse yourself in art with the amazing tools that they have. There was some great work on display made from some of these tools. Stop by during free range studio time or sign up for a workshop or a class. This is for all ages, all abilities. For real.

I could see myself bringing in a print and having the staff here bring it to life with their skillful framing and design abilities. However, from the art gallery perspective, it was a lovely place and they had some terrific art on display. Fun fact, my partner and I had been admiring several pieces at different galleries throughout town and noticed that the same artist was on display here. As we were observing that out loud, the artist himself walked over and introduced himself. It was amazing-and such a testament to the small world philosophy.
