The guys who dropped off the goods were very nice, hence two stars…read more The cutlery we received looked nothing like the website. It was really shoddy- scratched, discoloured and nicked. A couple forks were so bent as to be unusable. It was too late to do anything about it and I was just thankful that it was a night event and the room was dark. When I mentioned it to the sales rep afterwards, she did the email equivalent of a shrug and said that the items are not new. Obviously- but the expectation is that they will still be in good condition, otherwise should be replaced. Further, we ordered a lot of items and one of the many plastic carrying bins was overlooked when they came to pick everything up, for which they charged the outrageous amount of £60!

At first my experience was good. I was able to hire the equipment that I wanted, the sales team was…read morehelpful and clean goods were delivered. However, the aftercare was awful. We had a wedding at home and managed the event ourselves. Afterwards, we counted up the items meticulously and checked them off against the list. The driver arrived with a van full of other clients' equipment and we asked him if he wanted to check it off. He told us that "they do that back at the warehouse". Two weeks later I got my deposit back minus the replacement cost of two items. It may not sound like much but I when I called to enquire as to how this might have happened (everything having been checked), the woman was curt and said "check with your venue, they must have lost it". I explained that we didn't have a venue. She said that she would look into it and ring me back. She failed to do so. I called again explaining the whole thing all over again. She said she would call me back in the morning. Then I recieved this email. "I've checked again with our warehouse and checked against stock levels. We are short of this one tray. Please check with your caterers, they may have it." So I ring again! Explain again! I ask how we can resolve this, to which she replies: " Well, we can't." Very rude! I expressed disbelief. I put it to her that one might send back everything yet the company could still claim that I lost it and bill me for it. I was then told that they are "a professional company." Really? It seem a ridiculous system that items aren't checked as they are loaded into the van. You are completely at these people's mercy. It's really silly because we are at an age when many of our friends are getting married and asking for recommendations of good suppliers. I can't believe that they would give such bad aftercare as to risk the name of their company. Very short sighted!
