What an amazing local BBQ joint! When you walk in you go straight to the ordering counter with a large chalkboard style menu. From there they have self-service drink fountain area and a cooler of free beer if you choose to indulge. The seating area has only a few tables and it filled up quick. The food was ready very fast! Now the moment you're waiting for ... the taste ... the meats tasted nothing short of AMAZING! Everything was delicious! I had ordered the two-meat plate with jalapeño sausage and chopped brisket with Mac n cheese and green beans. The meats are top notch indeed. The sides were average and standard flavors. I sampled the black pepper sausage and sliced brisket from my dinner companions and those were equally amazing. The green chili creamed corn is probably the best side on the menu! My only suggestion would be that the papers they have at the front counter with their specials should be positioned on a stand or something at eye level - for me personally I didn't readily notice the paper laying flat on the counter. Thankful to only live five minutes away from this awesome local restaurant! We will be back for more delicious BBQ! read more

I've been following this restaurant since they opened and was waiting for a good time to go. Today was the day and they did not disappoint. I ordered the sliced brisket sandwich with side of Baked Potato Salad. For dessert I ordered the banana pudding. It was ALL good! They are now at the top of my list for food BBQ in the area. They use post oak wood to smoke their meats which is sooooo good! Not sure if the buns used for the sandwiches are house made or came from elsewhere but also tasty. Of course, brisket is the real measure of how good BBQ is, so being my first time, I got the brisket. Ordered at the counter and picked up my meal from the window, the "service" was a minimal task really and I don't know how to give it any stars. "Here's what you can get here." "Here's your food cooked and plated." "Glad you enjoyed it!" I gave a 15% tip for that. Were the staff people nice? Yes! Absolutely nice! Had they been anything less than nice, it would have given me reason to deflate my rating. But they were charming, friendly and did their jobs well. They didn't really do anything more than plate the food for me, but that's okay. Now I have my expectations set, let them be your expectations too! Go here for some of the best brisket barbecue you'll ever have! Go again because, just like everyone says, it simply is that good! The sauce was a perfect blend between sweet and hot. I just had lunch at Local Craft BBQ after hearing about it on social media. I live in Collin County, but the reviews of this place made me want to try it out. I have to say the drive was WELL WORTH IT. That was some of the best BBQ I've ever had and I will be going back to try some other items on the menu. Hands down the Brisket is the best I've ever eaten. You truly get your money's worth at Local Craft. The sides are incredible and the dessert menu was worth a try...specifically the peanut butter banana pudding! It was different for me, but I ended up eating the whole portion and I was not disappointed! If it wasn't for my wife asking me to bring some brisket home, I would have finished off everything I had on my tray. Brisket sandwich tomorrow though!!!! We had been driving home to New Mexico from Galveston and realized we had better have lunch in the Ft Worth area before continuing on for another 9 hours in the car. I lucked out by seeing this place that was only a couple miles off our route. We felt we needed some real Texas BBQ before leaving the state so we figured the minor detour would be worth and and OH MAN, we were right! We have 6 kids so we got the really big plate and got the brisket, pulled pork, jalapeño sausage, ribs, pork belly, green beans, Mac and cheese, and potato salad. It's truly difficult to pick my favorite item.... Ok it was probably the brisket because seriously y'all, I'm gunna have dreams over how amazing it was! The green beans were as downright comforting as a vegetable can be and my oldest son is still talking about them! Everything was truly delicious. As if the food wasn't enough of a glowing review to get your butt over here, the people were even better! They were so so kind and it felt like we were having a meal with family. I am so glad we stumbled upon this place and we will undoubtedly be back the next time we are in the area. But if y'all could do me a favor if you happen to live in this neck of the woods, go in an have some gosh darn great food for me!
