Yummy!

Sunday Brunch Review!! Would give more stars if I could! My hubby and I made a reservation at 10:15 and were greeted by Malachi, who gave us all the deets about their brunch. Fantastic drink offerings but we opted for tea. The absolutely COOLEST THING about this brunch is that patrons are invited to the kitchen to fill up their plates. The entire staff from the hosts to the cooks were super upbeat and fun. Now the yummy stuff.... So many options for all palates. We enjoyed every bit of it... vanilla scones, fruit/ cream, quiche, French toast, roasted potatoes, shrimp and grits, Mac n Cheese, brisket quesadillas, mini sliders. Dessert table had mini cupcakes and tarts, but we were stuffed! Definitely returning to Local Three Kitchen for brunch again!

I was initially hesitant about coming here. I'm not sure why. But it was a wonderful experience. The restaurant's decor was sort of modern rustic (?) but classy. Our waitress (Melissa) was so sweet, just attentive enough and helped us with more ideas for experiencing the area. The concept was unique to me--buffet offerings are laid out in one of their kitchens (they have 2). The food choices were a mix of tradition brunch (pastries, breakfast meats, and scrambled eggs) and savory items (jambalaya grits, ribs, brisket quesadillas). I tried almost everything and enjoyed it all, but especially the croissants (3 types), as they were incredibly flaky. The waitress told us that they are made in house by their own pastry chef. If they have their mocha cheesecake (and u like cheesecake), save some room because these are divine, so smooth and just enough sweetness. Definitely a place to try, although I feel it doesn't quite warrant the $50 per person (adult) price.

I was thrilled to hear that Local Three was still around since my initial visit around 10 years ago. I was even more excited about the fact that they were still doing their unique brunch buffet in which patrons could walk through the kitchen and just pull small plates off the pass. It was such a fun experience that I really wanted to revisit. The restaurant was as I remembered it - sleek and rustic with a real Southern vibe. The service was friendly and engaging. However, I spent little time focusing on the staff or décor, because I could not wait to get into the kitchen and grab some food. There were just so many items, all broken into "Starter", "Breakfast", and "Lunch" portions of the menu. A few of my favorites were the Smoked Salmon Toast, Buttermilk Biscuits with Peach Jam, Patatas Bravas, Shrimp and Grits, Chilaquiles, and Collard Greens. After stuffing ourselves on several plates from the kitchen, we saved room to try some tarts off a dessert table that was located next to the host stand. The small, delicious bites were all we could handle by that point, but they were still much appreciated. The brunch buffet at Local Three was really like no other in the way the food was acquired by the diners and in the gourmet quality of the menu items. I highly recommend this experience!

Honestly one of the best meals my husband and I have had. Our waiter Alvin and all of the staff were amazing! Alvin spoke about the menu with pride and has great recommendations. You'll have a great meal if he's your waiter. Favorite food: The hot honey wings...omg. Best wings/wing sauce I've ever had. The chef was so nice to send us home with some extra sauce. Kid friendly!! We brought our 2yo and our 7 month old and everyone was welcoming to them. The kids meals are some of the best we've had too. Our daughter got kids chicken tenders and asked for a second plate. That never happens... If we lived in the area we would be regulars. You gotta check this place out!

I was tempted to do. TikTok about this place but decided against it. I don't want to ruin the mystery of this hidden gem! Local Three is tucked away on the first floor of The Forum at West Paces. It's a charming live/work neighborhood that you'd have to know how to get the there and where to go. This was a suggestion from a former colleague to meet up for drinks and dinner. He likes it for the extensive bourbon selection. Their menu is simple and seems seasonal based on market availability. That evening were NJ oysters. We skipped that ordered The McDowell. Yes, named after Coming To America the movie! We started with the sampler charcuterie board. It left a lot to be desired. To drink, I ordered a whisky sour to sip. It was light, sweet and boozy. Overall, great ambiance and service was attentive, personable and easy. I'd go back to try other menu items and tasty drinks.

The interior had a laidback but upscale feel. The service was amazing - we got great recommendations from our waitress and she was very attentive. And the food was delicious, minus The Apple dessert which we had higher expectations for. Cocktails were also solid, strong and with complex profiles.

Dusted Venison. What a treat.

Wow. I have never had a pork chop that was so good. Absolutely amazing. Great flavor, moist, excellent flavor. Just a bit of bite. What a wonderful meal. Also had the Old Fashioned and a C.R.E.A M. Wonderful, flavors. Great service. First time here - will definitely return...

We have been going to Local Three for many years and it had become our go-to Sunday brunch spot until Covid hit. The service is excellent, with great people and nice conversations. We weren't big into Southern cooking until finding Local 3, and now we're hooked! Outdoor seating is our preference as it can get too loud inside (although they've put noise panels that helped a lot). We enjoy taking a stroll around the gardens after a full meal, and it makes it for a perfect Sunday after church. Highly recommend!

How much is the brunch buffet now per person? Looks like it's changed from what's listed in the 'About' section.…

$25.93 for adults. It's on their website under brunch menu.

We have one vegan in our group coming in for brunch buffet..is there another menu she can order from?

Currently there is no brunch buffet, and some menu items can be adapted for vegan. I'm sure the chef would accommodate her.

What is the dress code?

We both enjoyed our drinks. I ordered the Fried Calamari to start. They were perfectly fried and the marinara had great flavor and was an excellent compliment to the calamari. At our server's recommendation I ordered the Georgia Fried Chicken and I was supe happy with it. The chicken was excellently cooked and the hot honey (really more honey than hot) was a great addition. The Brussels sprouts were outstanding! The Asian inspired flavor made the dish. The Mac and cheese was good, but I like a lot more solid cheese rather than cheese sauce, which this one had. My wife was very satisfied with the Bistro Steak Sandwich. She loved the bread the sandwich came in. The one bite of steak I had was good, but I could have used a touch more salt. She thought it was seasoned perfectly. I'm leaving this because what I saw doesn't line up with that review at all. The group that was eventually asked to leave came in clearly intoxicated and immediately made another table uncomfortable. When they were told the table wasn't interested in being social, the intoxicated group sat down at a table directly across from them and continued making loud, inappropriate comments. The other table appeared visibly distressed and were clearly trying to keep to themselves. Staff initially tried to calm things down and keep everyone there. When the behavior continued and escalated, they made the right call and asked the disruptive group to leave. You could feel the room relax once they were gone. Unfortunately, situations like this happen sometimes when alcohol is involved. From where I was sitting, the staff handled a tense situation professionally and fairly. I've been going to Eleanor's for over a decade and have always found the staff to be kind, attentive, and respectful. This review doesn't reflect what I personally witnessed that night.

The food was excellent, the drinks were on point, and our waitress did an awesome job handling such a large party. She stayed on top of everything and made sure we were taken care of all night. After dinner, we decided to check out the speakeasy through the freezer door--Eleanor's--and unfortunately, that's where the experience took a turn. The atmosphere itself was nice--semi-dark with a cool concept--but it could definitely lean more into a darker, more immersive speakeasy vibe. The bigger issue, though, was the service. It was night and day compared to upstairs. The waitress came across as rude and unwelcoming from the start. A few of us sat down in a small corner area with an L-shaped bench and some extra chairs we had to pull over ourselves. Obviously, with 12 people, there was no way we were all fitting there, yet she insisted she wouldn't take any drink orders until everyone was seated. That made no sense, especially since there was standing room and even a bar-height table available. To make matters worse, there was zero acknowledgment of the birthday--not even a simple "happy birthday," which felt like a missed opportunity given the occasion. When we asked about Fireball shots, the response was a blunt "um, no," followed by "you can have water," as she started filling glasses. That pretty much summed up the vibe we got. Not sure if this is typical service down there or just an off night, but it was enough to make us decide we wouldn't come back to the speakeasy. Bottom line: If you're in the area, definitely check out Muss & Turner's for dinner--it's worth it. But I'd skip Eleanor's and save your time and money.

Title: Lost a Loyal Customer -- Management Failed…read more I'll start by saying I previously gave this location a 5-star review because I genuinely loved it. That review still stands for what it was -- but this is about what happened next. About 3-4 months ago, I stopped in after work wearing medical scrubs and clogs. The hostess turned me away at the door, citing what she called a dress code. Fine -- except I could clearly see guests already seated inside wearing sandals. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told it was a "strict policy" and offered a to-go order instead. No explanation for the double standard. No accountability. Just a dismissal. I've been coming here for years and never had an issue with my work attire. And I've since learned I'm not alone -- friends have described similar experiences at this location. I don't throw around the word "profiling" lightly. But when enforcement is this inconsistent, it's hard to arrive at any other conclusion. The food is good. The servers have always been great. But management completely dropped the ball, and that's enough for me to walk away for good.
