Getting here was pretty simple except for that turn on Star street - you should really be paying attention. Anyway, upon entering the store I was not sure if it was an office or an actual business but getting past the huge wooden door, I was greeted by a friendly worker and a vast array of selections. These selections included honey, olive oil, vinegar, syrups, mustard just to name a few. The worker, Reva (forgive me if I misspelled that), was attentive and kind. There were samples of specific popular flavors that I asked for and she was not only quick to get the samples, she was happy to help. She also is very knowledgeable when it came to upcoming sales and events that this place would have. I was happy to not only speak to her because she's nice, but she had a good understanding of what was popular, as well as any information that the company could give. I picked up a few items including the lavender infused local honey, honey mustard, and a little bag for my wife. This place is legit! If you're looking for wonderful accents to your kitchen or your dinner table or if you are going to go and visit friends for a little potluck and have no idea what to take, this is a place to visit. The whole place is bright so you can see everything clearly and all my questions were answered regarding gifting as well as pricing. If you are in the area, or if you are a local and have never heard of this place, shoot on over and give them a try. I think you will be happy that you did!

They feature gourmet food items set in delightful surroundings. They also offer freshly prepared sandwiches and more. Alas, we had just come from a big breakfast nearby, so I wasn't hungry. I did purchase several items and had a short chat with the shopkeeper. Just being in the bright, beautifully merchandised space made me feel happy. It contributed to my vacation state of mind, too. Can't wait to try the special garlic blend I purchased there. I definitely wish that they were located closer to us. I'd be stopping in to Garnish very frequently if they were nearby. The whole vibe goes well with a historic building setting. I could see this shop fitting in really well in downtown Ventura or Santa Barbara. They are relatively new in Nevada City, and I wish them all the best. Check out the photos to get a feel for how lovely this shop is visually.

I was treated fine and the food was great. I got biryani (goat, which wasn't on the menu but they offered to make it when I said it was my usual), and butter chicken. The biryani is the best I've had. Butter chicken is great, but dwarfed by the biryani. Garlic Naan is loaded with garlic, which I love, but probably too much for some. They didn't ask me for a spice level which worried me (from both directions). I assume I was given something on the more mild side, but still had a kick. Only critique is I'd ask for a bit more spice next time. Food was good. Service was friendly. They explicitly gave me advice for getting my order quicker next time (I walked in and had to wait, they recommending calling it in).
