Received that new estimate the next day and we okayed it. He scheduled the delivery date for the day before the work was to begin. He had a discussion with the delivery company and they felt uncomfortable driving the forklift and pallets over our septic system, so they delivered at the street. I had Matt B (Nephew of Jim - Owner) at my home yesterday to service our 8 zone system as our Rain Bird System had an error code. He came out assessed we had a dead solenoid, as well as some heads that required service, and a necessary new pipe and irrigation installation. His initial estimate was on the high end but he later explained to me that it was secondary to potential increase in time (charge by hour), should they encounter tree roots, etc. Made sense to me. The eventual price was quite competitive. I had already written a check for the high end estimate, and gave it to him. When he finished the job, he actually handed it back to me telling me the bill would be ~ $100 less! He could have totally kept the extra money and I would not have known differently. It was against a concrete wall which made the grinding very difficult. They had to return multiple times. But they never complained and kept coming back as promised, and at no additional charge. I also had them remove a very large crepe Myrtle that was worse than bamboo at coming back to life. Since then I gave them another bamboo on the opposite side of my garden. Then some very tall birds of paradise. Everything needed more than one treatment, as they were so established. Chris was always so understanding, friendly, and honest.
