This is quite the amazing grocery store. It's got lots of character. I have some amazing fruit and…read morevegetable section along with an amazing meat department. It is recently been expanded and we're very impressed with the expansion after really really friendly and they have a good selection in their LCBO outlet area. That's where I would call a cottage store. The only area that's missing is an aisle with laundry detergent that's not but other than that we love going up here because they are open more frequently than other grocery stores. The only days they are closed for December and January 1 so if you're everything else is closed, you can always check the website for their hours and most likely they will be open we'd definitely go there every every every so often whenever a wrap in Port period. and also don't forget when you're at the meat counter, they offer me to either be frozen packed individually or not so if you wanna buy a large selection of meat and want them prepped for your freezer, just ask them they'll do it they will also cut any type of pork or would have it cause we really like pork cut is very thin

Size has probably tripled in the last 10 years. Lots, and mean lots of made in store items. Try the HUGE kabobs. At least a 1/2 dozen flavours at all times. Treats like red pepper poppers made in store. Huge meat counter, sandwiches, home made sauces like really really good tzatziki. This is a grocery store unlike any other. Go for it

We wanted a non-chain cafe with some yummy coffee and this was it! Service with a smile and honest…read morefood details made it first-rate. They serve local roasted beans from Muskoka Roastery Coffee Company and I ordered a French press of hazelnut vanilla coffee which hit the spot. They had several grain-free (and gluten free) options for sweets and I ordered a delicious brownie which was perfectly vanilla-heavy and fudge-like and not too sugary. All freshly baked too! Hubs ordered a butter tart which was generous and flaky while my toddler enjoyed a trail mix style cookie. She certainly enjoyed it and I hope you will too! There is a small market-style grocery attached which has very fresh produce.

Ended up grabbing a few bags of chips, along with other snack items. I also grabbed an incredible freshly baked croissant from the bakery next door, so good!! Could have spent a lot more time in here browsing/drooling but alas the lake (and my trunk full of booze!) were calling! Until next time!

Only 10 minute drive from Balsam Lake Provincial Park, much bigger selection and better prices than the tiny park store on west side of park. I like that they have a water refill station that uses treated municipal water with triple osmosis, No more wasteful water bottles!! 18 L jug is the biggest size the refill station can fit, hammer to tamp caps just left of machine. Lots of ready to go foods, BBQ marinated meats, small bakery but hit and miss on freshness despite BB dates. Biggest pro They carry lots of Kawartha dairy products at good prices and ice cream flavors. Only cons to the place is some of prices are very marked up, so the sale price looks like a great deal but it's just regular price to city standards. Funny staff work here. I asked the bakery lady to write happy birthday on a slab cake, she was having a hard time and admitted to me, "I'm not good at math". LOL I can't even!

The sales items are similarly priced for the weekly flyer regardless of where the store is located. The meat is more expensive but the meat is of better quality and you get what you pay for. The fresh vegetables are so-so and usually from the States. It would be great, if they could get locally sourced vegetables.
