So happy I found this little reptile store! I've probably driven past it 10000 times, never knowing it existed. I came in with the intention of purchasing a baby chameleon. After the very kind gentleman (I forgot his name) shared all his reptile knowledge; we decided that the leopard gecko would be the best suit me. The instant he put the tiny gecko in my hands, I fell in love! Being a 1st time owner of a gecko, I had no idea what I needed. Before I could even ask, the employee already had put together a little "kit" for me. He also gave me a few pointers on caring for my new pet. *Wide variety of reptiles to choose from *Clean/organized store *Lots of supplies *Friendly employees *Reasonable prices

New set up thanks to Derek V. for all of the help

What a great experience! My husband and I visited this Sunday and were helped out by Derek V! He was extremely knowledgeable and very kind. Not only did he answer all my questions, he also entirely set up a new home for my baby crested gecko. I left feeling confidant and well prepared, and our little family member is settling in great -This entire experience was one I will never forget, thank you Derek and LLLReptile for helping me!

The staff are intensely helpful, knowledgeable and laid back. We visited the store after it was recommended to us, to learn about bearded dragons for my son. They spent a ton of time helping answer our questions and sorting through all the misinformation we'd read online. We ended up buying a baby beardie and couldn't be more happy. I'd recommend LLL Reptile to anyone.

Baby Whites Tree Frogs

Our local reptile store near our house closed down and we've been searching for new one when we came across LLLReptile. The employees are so friendly and helpful and we can always find what we are looking for. They helped guide us with building a vivarium for my 3 adult dumpy tree frogs. They are also one of the only stores that has the Whites tree frogs! My boyfriend and I went in on Sunday and found 2 new babies to add to our family! We get mice/rats here for our snake as well and have always been pleased. We will definitely keep coming back and recommending them to everyone!

Everything I purchased at LLR REPTILE except for the food

I don't even know where to begin. I started off loving this place , my boys immediately fell in love with this place and so did I because the staff was so kind and helpful. I first visited the store a little over a month ago. My son fell in love with a Greek tortoise. Such a cute tiny little tortoise. I knew a little bit about tortoises but not too much however the staff helped me with telling me some information about Greek tortoises and I did some research of my own once I got home. The next day we decided to get our little tortoise and bring him home. The staff helped me with showing me what was needed. From the heat lamp, fluorescent light , the enclosure, the bedding . I purchased everything at LLLREPTILE. The enclosure was big however the person who helped us said it would work well and our tortoise would grown into it so it would last many years. We spent about $600 for everything. I didn't care .... We had a new little tortoise that we planned to keep for a lifetime ... fast forward to today, my tortoise Bowser is dying. Shell is going soft, he won't open his eyes, won't eat , barely moves. About a week ago I called the store , a gentleman asked for me to come in and to bring in Bowser which I did. He immediately felt the soft spots on Bowser and he suggested I give him calcium powder which I have been giving him . Later that day I posted on a tortoise forum as well FB , I come to find out ... the enclosure I purchased was too big, the heat lamp was the WRONG one , the fluorescent light was WRONG , the thermometer gauge was the WRONG one. Which all are very important keeping a tortoise alive . I purchased all of these items because that is what was recommended to me by the staff. I was informed because of the light and heat lamp and too big of an enclosure Bowser was not getting enough heat, enough light (apparently the light that I purchased that was recommended to me was useless) and in to big of an enclosure. All of it wrong. Now I'm dealing with a tortoise that is slowly dying. I just wish I would have never put so much trust in people. I blame myself for believing I was getting correct information. I should have done more research before taking the staffs word for what I needed. There is nothing I can do at this point . There is a 3 day policy , it's already been over a month. Lesson learned. I just hate that I'm having to slowly lose Bowser during this. It's heartbreaking. 3/31 UPDATE Our Bowser has died

The LLLReptile & Supply store in Peoria is like no other. Cooper, Josh, Justin and Toni work hard everyday to make it such a welcoming and helpful environment. My fellow reptile keeper and I have gotten several reptiles including a leopard gecko, green anole, green iguana, fire skink, sand boa, and almost all of our reptile husbandry supplies from this location and these awesome guys. All the animals in the shop are super healthy and well looked after and the shop itself is always clean with great music playing. We get all of the feeder insects/mice and powdered gecko food from this location as well as all of our reptile supplements. We have never been disappointed with the atmosphere of the shop, the customer service, the product selection, or received any broken or damaged products or ill animals/feeders. We will continue to happily shop at LLLReptile & Supply in Peoria for all of our reptile needs!

This shop is CLEAN and conveniently located with easy access off the 60. Great feeders. Shout out to Cooper, Lucas, Josh, Tony! There are a lot of opinions out there about reptile shops, see for yourself before you decide. I have never had any issues with any purchases either animals or supplies.

Ask the Community - LLLReptile & Supply

Were the reptiles healthy? Anybody buy from this place and have the reptile live for years without health issues? Just need to make sure they are healthy. Lost my poor baby today after 6 years. Never trusting a reptile store again😭. Healthy?

I can tell you the quality of both locations is great! Our first interaction was when we drove from Buckeye to Chandler (not knowing of the Peoria location) to buy a Uromastyx. The manager told me he would not sell the ones that he had gotten in… Read more

They had everything I needed to get started, and I left feeling totally confident and excited (not overwhelmed!) about bringing my beardie home. I have never had any issues buying dubias or cricket's here, actually started my own successful dubia colony from their dubias. All of my animals came to me healthy and happy, but i also know we live in AZ and animals can't be in a hot car for hours on end. Another review said they were neglecting their tarantulas, that's absurd. There's not a single pet shop in the valley that has full set ups for over 200 spiders, The moss is part of the hide/water dish. Unless you're buying a full bioactive setup, which they offer, your animal is going home in a deli container. I have never had any issues with staff, they have always been extremely welcoming, helpful and answered any questions i have had. That being said, ask stupid question and you get stupid answers. I love AE and supporting small local businesses, will be back!

My fiancé had a ranch about 20 years ago and used to go to Pratt's all the time to buy animals for his ranch and sell his babies to Pratt's. There was a good old time family vibe then. They educated people about the animals they purchased and were very helpful. Now, my fiancé and I have a ranch together and we were starting from scratch. We went to Pratt's to get the same camaraderie and care that he had from Pratt's in the past. But we had found out the hard way that it is absolutely nothing like it used to be! Their animals are always sick and stressed and in bad living conditions. All of the chickens we have purchased from there were sick with a very contagious virus. They have respiratory distress and very lethargic and their eyes swell up and fill with puss. We gave them antibiotics but that did not help them. Every single chicken we bought from there had died. And the worst part is it spreads to the rest of our flock. Once the flock is infected you cannot get rid of it. U literally have to start fresh with healthy chickens. My fiancé had told Oscar the manager about this issue. At first he was understanding and willing to replace the chickens. Once we sent him pictures of the birds that perished he changed his tone and said "Why are you the only ones with birds dying?" We have stopped buying chickens from there but have continued to buy feed from there. We can't help but to go and look at all the animals and unfortunately they are always in poor living conditions and clearly very sick and even dead birds in the cages. The staff they have there at this point are very unhelpful and uneducated about the product they sell and uneducated about the animals they sell! We ask them a question about an animal and they look at us like we have a third eye growing out of our heads! They walk away without answering our questions or even getting our feed for us. We are out so much money from what we have bought from there and all the loss we have had from the sick chickens infecting the rest of our flock and they died. We had bought a female goat that was supposedly pregnant and they just wanted to get rid of her before she gave birth... well she wasn't pregnant. Then We had bought another female goat from them against our better judgment because she looked miserable and we wanted a companion for our first goat but She was "Not for sale" due to being sick... We said we want her to give her a fighting chance. She coughs and sneezes and has discharge from her lady parts. Pratt's just does not care about the health and well being of their animals! We will never purchase any animals from them again!! It's such a shame that these animals have to suffer!!

The reason for my lower rating is solely based on how the axolotls were housed. I'm not an axolotl expert, but I have read that they can temporarily be kept in small containers as long as the water is changed daily. However, how long are they kept in these containers? That said, seeing them in small containers on shelves near insect and lizard food felt sad and uncomfortable. It reminded me of how betta fish are often displayed in big pet chain stores. From what I've learned, axolotls do best in individual aquarium tanks with cycled, filtered water. I understand that retail space and logistics can make that challenging. An employee did mention they move them once their tail reaches the end of the container, but I'm sure that meant they move them to a bigger container. The water did look clean, so I'm hoping they're receiving frequent full water changes. I truly don't mean this as an attack -- it just made me sad. I came here with family while visiting from California, so not sure if selling them this way is common since they're illegal to own in CA. They're such unique and delicate creatures, and I wish their setup reflected that a bit more. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, because overall it really is a neat store!
