I visited this Priory with some friends a few weeks ago and was amazed by how beautiful it was! After driving up the Vale of Ewyas (7 miles north of Abergavenny), through the most breathtaking beautiful scenery, you arrive at the ruined priory, which was once home of Augustine monks.
There is a small licensed cafe rooms in the grounds of the Abbey, but beware this closes at 3pm as we discovered to our cost!
After exploring the ruins there are lots of walks to be enjoyed, be they up onto the ridge where you can join the Offa's Dyke Path or simply along the banks of the nearby river.
