History
Established in 1943.
Living Hope was formed in 1942 and chartered with the United Pentecostal Church organization in 1946.
Services were originally held in Prichard, Alabama. The church moved to its current location in Saraland in 1980 with one building and a second building was added in 1994. Each move and expansion led to further growth within the church.
Today the church has grown and is involved in missions both in the Gulf Coast and abroad. In November 2016 Matthew & Rebecca Johnson were elected to lead the congregation. Their vision is for Living Hope to be a multicultural church that reaches the entire Gulf Coast region with a special emphasis on developing future leaders.

Meet the Manager: Matthew J.
Matthew Johnson grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and after high school followed his dream of becoming a business executive. He completed his MBA, summa cum laude, and later a specialty in healthcare management. After a successful career in healthcare marketing & public relations he was asked to lead an ambulatory surgery center. During this same period he served at his local church in youth ministry and later served as Missouri District Youth's Promotions Director, Secretary, and President.
It was during his sixth year serving at the surgery center that he followed God's plan for his life and joined the General Youth Division in St. Louis, MO. He served the GYD for 6 years, working as Promotions Director & Secretary, before being elected as Pastor of Living Hope in Saraland, Alabama, where he currently resides.
He is thankful to be partnered in ministry with his wife, Rebecca, and they have two amazing children, Abriah and Jace. Their favorite pastime is visiting the white sand beaches
