Finishing up my fourth year at this school. There were rumors a girl was suspended for leaving a…read morenegative review. I came to this school to escape bullying at my local public school. The building is too small and overcrowded. I've had classes with over 20 students and ones with only ten students. If you are thinking about enrolling your child in this school, go to trinity valley instead. While I am fortunate enough to have the option of changing schools, I am at the point in my education where I have built up so many friends that it would be a waste to start over. The funding for this school is a joke. Two years ago there was an electrical fire. The visual art department is severely underfunded and undersupplied. The choir students are the golden children, and are at the top of the pecking order. Every classroom on the top floor has stains in the ceiling tiles from leaks in the roof. The bathrooms are terrible. Take into account the fundraisers every year that make around 50k for the school, and you question where the money goes. The 25-26 school year was a rollercoaster for the staff. It began with the new art teacher getting fired for looking up girls skirts when they would grab supplies from the high shelves. Then the tech theater teacher was fired for ignoring the needs of neurodivergent students, as well as reports of him being creepy around the girls. Long term subs were found for both of them. However, two weeks before the end of school, when the teachers re-signed their contracts, several were told they wouldn't be able to come back next year due to budget issues. While complaining to one of my affected teachers, she alluded to the idea that the superintendent got a raise, despite these "budget issues". In my opinion this was scummy of admin, as the affected teachers wouldn't be able to claim all unemployment benefits as they weren't technically fired. The bullying among the elementary, middle school, and freshman students has gotten terrible. Nothing is done by teachers. There are no anti-bullying programs. The counselors are only there for dual credit classes and scheduling. High schoolers are under an insane amount of pressure. We are all heavily encouraged to enroll in dual credit courses, and even if you don't, your friends are in them, and you start to think you aren't smart enough compared to them. I personally know a girl who cries when her grades are under 95. One of the only positives about this school is the teachers. Almost all of the teachers are amazing and kind individuals. While a good chunk aren't that great at actually teaching, they are all so kind and supportive. If they weren't there, I probably would have come to school sobbing every morning. Many of the issues this year were not addressed by the new principal. Not to mention we had no vice principal the last half of the second semester. TLDR: this school is severely underfunded, teachers aren't paid enough to care, it will ruin your child's mental health. You have to buy uniforms then pay to dress out. While it's certainly better than some schools, just look for a better one. At this point in time, FWAFA isn't worth it.

I mentioned to the owner I took him to the primary care doctor to get an antibiotic shot as children's didn't have it in their quick clinic she wanted a not from there as well as if the note from the hospital wasn't sufficientMoreover, there was NEVER any communication in regards to if he ate all of his food, if he had a poop or pee diaper, if he took a nap, if they had arts and crafts!!!! Nothing!!! Also, they had me standing outside of the daycare for pickup until I questioned her about it and then she stated I needed to Sign a background form... I was later able to enter the school and stand in the door entry way let's mention the lunch menu for infants -beans, rice, bread, peaches , turnip greens and water! hence why my son was hungry everyday when I picked him up this is not the type of food that interests a toddler (1 year old)! I picked him up one day the owner was eating a hot dog... I thought why is that not on the menu for the children? I can't say enough good things about our first year at SJCS. The small class sizes allow for real…read moreone-on-one attention, which has helped my Pre-K child blossom and come out of their shell. My children always come home excited to tell me what fun, hands-on learning project they did in class that day. I also love that they get exposed to Art, PE, Spanish, and Music so early on, as well as the after-school clubs that parents volunteer to run, starting as early as Pre-K. It's a wonderful environment for children to develop, and the parent involvement makes it feel like a true community.

In the Catholic faith, this sacrament is profoundly meaningful, as it prepares the soul for the journey into the afterlife. For my family, it was of immense importance. When I learned my mother had passed before the scheduled time, I was devastated. While traveling to join my brother and sister-in-law, I called the church and left a message that she had already passed. To my surprise and deep relief, Father James arrived soon after my husband and I reached her room. Because her body was still warm, he was able to administer Last Rites. I will always be profoundly grateful to Father James and Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in Waxahachie, Texas, for this act of compassion and faith. Though I am not currently a practicing Catholic, this experience has touched me so deeply that my husband and I are considering attending Saint Joseph's. I have also decided that I wish to receive Last Rites myself when my time comes.
