The young lady at the front desk was super helpful and got us settled in quickly. Lauren, the nurse, helped us decided on what she needed to help her to feel better and she got started with the IV. Unfortunately, my daughter isn't the easiest stick because her veins are just deep and roll around when they are stuck. Lauren took her time and worked for over 10-15 minutes getting an IV started. Finally, she was able to get her going with a tiny needle. Lauren made sure my daughter was comfortable, turned off the lights, and let her sleep while her IV was running. I can't thank these two ladies enough for giving her such a comforting and helpful experience.

Treatment at The Functional Medicine MD began with blood, stool, and urine analysis. After…read moreanalyzing the data from those results and taking a personal history, a protocol for IV treatment was established. A supplement regimen and a diet were added. After four treatments, I felt like myself again. Now we are four months into treatment and I am off of the prescription anti-inflammatory drugs, the nerve blockers, and the pain killers that have been a daily requirement for over a decade since my rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis. Even though I have always been health conscious, eating clean and exercising, this treatment has restored my quality of life. No more down days spent exhausted and laid out in pain. I no longer lie awake at night in excruciating pain and no longer suffer debilitating neuropathy. I am returning to my over-achieving former self. I do my part with diet, exercise, and sleep maintenance. Dr. Iduna does her part by listening to my needs and adjusting treatment. The office is convenient and comfortable. My only regret is not pursuing this treatment a decade ago and avoiding the minefield of prescription drug side effects and lost functionality.

The team is knowledgeable, welcoming, and always takes the time to answer my questions. She's personable, knowledgeable, and always leaves me feeling more confident than when I walked in.

Emily Langford is hands down the best aesthetician in the Southeast. My first appointment with her…read morewas about three years ago when she was offering a discount for a sugaring session. At the time, I was getting my brows threaded, however after my easy, painless sugaring appointment I figured I'd book an appointment for my brows as well. Since that day, I've been hooked. I see Emily about every 2-3 weeks to get my brows done. There's been a few occasions that I've been in a bind and I've had to see another aesthetician and their work doesn't measure up to what Emily can do. My brows are always even and have the perfect arch to them. She doesn't leave a single stray hair. Her brow waxing skills are a work of art to say the least. She will ensure that you leave Old City Medspa looking AMAZING! On top of her phenomenal aesthetician abilities, she's the sweetest, most down to earth human. She's easy to talk to during your appointment and she plays great music. She continuously checks on you to make sure you're comfortable, not in pain, ensures the wax isn't too hot, etc. Emily does so much more than just waxing brows. She's a sugaring queen to say the least! It would definitely be worth your time to book an appointment with her at Old City Medspa! Additionally, Old City Medspa has such an awesome atmosphere. They're located in one of the older buildings downtown. The spa has so much offer all their clients! Inside is so quiet and calming - a great place to book an appointment and just relax. Let this be your warning. Unless you want botched lips like these, over $700 less than what you…read morebegan with, and filler migration of your nightmares I suggest you keep searching for an injectionist. Nurse Shara, you have completely ruined my lips. I put my faith, money, & trust into you and disappointed isn't even the word. The filler I had when I first sat in your office was perfectly fine and you manipulated/fear-mongered me into believing they looked bad in hopes of making an extra $500 off of me? Pathetic. I really loved my lips those first couple of months, but as time has passed, the progression of my lips grew to be absolutely horrendous in size, shape, feel & appearance. I only received "two syringes" (or so she alleges to have given me) from her over the course of maybe 3 months earlier this year! Something I found strange, beside the other nonsense, was that I would show her pictures of the EXACT lips that I wanted to build and they never looked like what I showed her. I even confronted her about in at our next appointment and she would say she normally does and even prefers the "bimbo look". Yes she said this verbatim. If bimbo equated to BOTCHED then maybe. Here below I have a photo of my lips currently. Shara, this is nothing short of a malpractice. Even my friends who had payed for your services in the past warned me about your reckless injection practices such as overfilling the lips, coercion to buy more filler, & dismissive behavior when customers confront you about it. I should listened to my gut and ran the opposite direction instead of letting you manipulate me on the day of that consultation. You have left me with weird, lumpy lips, a crooked smile, hard to the touch duck lips, and a hell of a lot less confidence. You have ruined my lips and I would like to be compensated for this. The pictures don't even do them justice. It looks a lot worse in person.
