The food was very disappointing, Bland and expensive. The kebab skewers were the thinnest I have…read moreever seen. The gheymeh was basically tasteless. The appetizer mirza ghasemi was old. All in all very disappointing. The service was OK, although it took a long time for 4 of us being recognized in a fairly small restaurant. It took also a long time to order and get served. We didn't see any Persians as guests, they must know better. The ambiance was OK, nothing special.

The first reservation with this restaurant was not successful - simply because there was not a…read moresingle available table and they would have put us four to a remote room. Ah. no.... but they were utmost friendly. Second time we reserved with nearly one week distance to the scheduled time and date. The parking lot was full with Premium cars - from Porsche over Audi to BMW. Hmm... Anyhow - We entered the facility. A large room with a huge Samovar on the right and a kind of Zoroastric Altar on the left. The room is open and the opposite of dark and cosy. We were welcomed very friendly by the waiter and guided to our table - wich was unfortunately near the entrance door (door open, door shut, door open.... cold....). Well... The Menu was offering interesting dishes with meat, vegetables and all of this explained well. Be aware - if you don´t love lamb meat - you´d better not eat here if you order anything outside chicken or fish. We had a starter plate with a little of everything - some kind of yoghurt dip in three different flavours (like the greek Tsatsiki) - one with small pieces of cucumber, one with herbs and one with spinach. Persian bread, minced eggplant with oil, herbs and some kind of spearmint. Hommus, Olives different flavours and something I can´t describe (tasted like a burned down house but I bet it was also eggplant or something)...... The main dish was also a mixed platter of several grilled meats - lamb filet, minced meat (mostly lamb), chicken kebab - and loads of rice. One with red berries, one with safran and one with different green herbs. We are not big fans of any kind of lamb that tastes strongly like sheep - and especially the minced meat was not of my gusto because of the strong taste. But this is not the restaurant´s mistake at all. I only would have wished they would have stated it more clearly in the menu card. Because the room was stuffed with people and there is no furniture except the tables or even plants it was utmost loud. We needed to talk very loud to understand each other across the table. That was something I don´t need to have again that soon. The menu was pricy but not oversized expensive. The size of the dishes was really large - positive - you don´t need to stay hungry. One idea that could be a good thing and I really love at my favourite italian restaurant, the greek restaurants and and different other places, I prefer.... see the guest as a friend and not only as a paying customer. I would have found it nice if - as soon as someone orders the bill - there would be something like a glass of tea or a small digestive. That would bring more positive energy to this place. The Samovar is still there (use it well). The Tea glasses are still there and a small glass of tea is a nice gesture without investing a lot of money. So here we go with the ranking (0 to 10 - whereas 10 is best): Reservation: 7 (the table was ok but not special). Waiter service: 7 the waiter was friendly but not as quick as I had wished Food: 7 (I don´t like lamb that much but that´s not the restaurant´s fault). Size of the dishes: 8 Presentation of the dishes: 7 Cleanliness of the room: 8-9 Hygienic situation restrooms: 8-9 Reachable by Bus or Train: 6 (Bus is ok) Parking lot: small. Noise: 2 (it was really, really, really loud.... folks do something against it.) Would I go here again? Yes - but no lamb for me. Thanks. If you like cuisine of the middle east - definitely a place to visit.
