She worked on my daughter and since the baby was asleep, made some suggestions on how to try and wake the baby up. My friend suggested the obgyn center so i made an appointment. I began with Dr. Rosie who is an absolutely kind, precious, and smart woman who treated me with nothing but kindness and respect. She did what she could to help, and after a few visits she let me know my complicated condition needed an extra pair of hands, so she referred me to Dr. Mauban. This is so tremendous because I have seen plenty of providers who will just dump you as a patient when things get too complex, the fact that she kindly and gracefully handed me off to a doctor within the same practice truly made things so much easier. It made me feel cared for rather than dismissed like i usually am. I greatly appreciate that she didn't make me find a new doctor on my own and i truly appreciate her and would absolutely see her again! Dr. Mauban has been absolutely amazing in addressing every single issue that I have had. If we try something and it doesn't work, she keeps digging for answers until something works. She is also extremely kind and so smart, even when she delivers me bad news she says it in a kind and compassionate way, she makes things very clear and easy to understand while still remaining empathic and compassionate. She always makes me feel welcome, comfortable, and i leave my visits knowing what the plan is. This is one of the few doctors that i see who doesn't leave me stressed and uneducated after my visits. I leave here feeling hopeful and like we achieved something. I cannot say enough about how I appreciate both Dr. Rosie and Dr. Mauban. It takes a long time to get an appointment here, but i cannot stress enough that it is absolutely worth the wait because you will recieve the best quality of compassionate care. Clearly all SDMI locations suck one way or another. I tried…read morethis location after horrible treatment at the Centennial & Tenaya locations. The employee that did my test was okay, the room was so hot I was going to pass out as I guess they can't afford the AC bill; as even the gal commented how it was warm. This isn't the first location I've been to that was HOT. She says it will be about a week for the results and they arrived within that promised time frame. What bothered me was I had an appointment for about a week later to get a mammogram because of course I couldn't schedule both on the same day that would be too easy & they cancelled it for no reason. I had to reschedule, and of course because they cancelled it I had to waste more time and wait another month plus past my originally scheduled appointment to get the mammogram appointment that I had already made time for. It was like that 1 employee was on vacation and they forgot to block it or needed time off and they went sure you can have it we will just cancel all the appointments for that time period and screw people over that already had appointments booked and had been waiting for about a month. As my cancellation was 3 days before my scheduled appointment!! Honestly healthcare in general in this city sucks and SDMI just finds a way to scrape by and do the bare minimum in providing services for care people need. Then they wonder why you're just over it when you go in. Maybe because you treat us patients/customers more like robots & cash cows vs humans who are sick, in pain or whatever and are on a tight budget. As you do the $ grab before you go in and I had to hear one lady crying saying all she had was $100 till next payday and your employee told her that if she couldn't pay they would have to cancel the appointment & be charged a fee for cancelling same day. The woman left crying. I was so uncomfortable overhearing the situation. Ya'll show some compassion. Or tell people when they make the appointment what the $ grab is at booking so they can decide if they can afford it at that point.

June 2025. A little behind in leaving this review but it was important that I write one. After not…read morebeing able to handle doing a regular or "open" MRI, for a ligament tear in my thumb, I looked for alternative tests to get what my Dr. needed. I found something called an MSK Ultrasound. After calling Steinberg, who said they don't do it, I had an appt with SimonMed, to find out when I went there for the appt, that they don't do it either. I was at wit's end, given I needed this so I could move on with what had to be done. I found Prestige Ultrasound on line. I gave them a call and asked if they did it. Given I live 50 mins away on the opposite side of town, I wanted to make sure they really did it. I asked to speak to the Radiologist, but I believe I spoke to Laura and she immediately said she would ask Manny, the owner, who is the radiologist if he did this; and he confirmed. She also said they had an "open" MRI machine, and I explained that "open" to me was just a bigger hole in the regular MRI machine. She said, no, they have one of 3 machines in the country that is truly open. I asked her to send me the model number (yes, call me crazy, but better to do my due diligence beforehand, knowing my Dr really wanted an MRI). Sure enough it was a machine I have never seen before. Laura was very accommodating and gave me an appt for 1st thing the next morning. When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised; what a lovely "boutique" comforting atmosphere this was. Unlike the well-known places, there was one other person in the office. I met Laura (forgive me if that wasn't your name). Then I met Manny, and they were both so lovely. He had even shown me the MRI machine. Once he did the Ultrasound he said you really should have an MRI, and I know from the research I did online, I really needed to have that done. So I asked him since I live so far away, was there any way to have it done right then and there. Manny explained they had no MRI appts scheduled but was happy to call the Tech, Mark, who came in 15 mins later just to do the MRI for me. I found that absolutely incredible. You waited in a little lounge area with theater seating. It was very comfortable. Since I had explained why I couldn't go in the regular MRI machine, Laura even offered to stay in the room with me, while I was having this MRI. What place does that? But I knew I would be able to handle this one, given what I had read. It was such an amazing experience, that I said to Manny, they should really open an office here in Henderson. Honestly, if you need to have an MRI, or anything that might be done in a smaller facility, drive to NLV for such a wonderful, stressless experience! I know I wouldn't hesitate to go back there. Let's just hope I don't need to!

Ultimately I am disappointed with the quality of my ultrasound experience here at Miracle in Progress. While the 2D heartbeat check IS only 5 minutes long, the tech really did the bare minimum. Keep in mind they charge the same prices here as Sneak A Baby Peek. I brought some family along and the experience was really lackluster. I am really surprised at all the good reviews. The tech (I didn't catch her name) didn't speak at all, barely said anything the whole session. No one could hear her when she did say something because she was so quiet, which made the experience really boring and not special for family. When I go to Sneak a Baby Peek, the techs are so personable and so excited right along with you, explain everything they're doing and seeing, and they even provide multiple previews in 3D/4D during their 5-min heartbeat session at no extra cost just for fun and to go the extra mile. Also, I only got 2 pictures here, rather than the 5 I'm used to at the other business. Another thing I wanted to point out is that I had to ask for the tech to measure the baby (they provide this at SABP without even being asked), and she provided a completely inaccurate measurement. I'm almost 19 weeks along and she said baby was measuring 17w 4d. This is inaccurate because at my recent ultrasound baby was measuring a week ahead in the 18+ week mark. All in all if you've ever been to Sneak A Baby Peek don't expect that quality of service if you come here to Miracle in Progress. Also, their office is a lot nicer. It's worth the drive.

The staff that gave me the gown to change into explained it like she has done this for decades, even though she is probably still in her 20s. The imaging technician that preformed the CT procedure was very professional with outstanding bedside manner. She took her time to make sure the procedure was done with the best results for the lab and my doctor to review. During the procedure, she told me about what was coming up and what to expect, so I was not surprised by any of the steps or chemicals used during the procedure. Also very pleasantly surprised that the wait time once I was in the back waiting area was under 10 minutes, before I was lead to the imaging room for the procedure. Solid 4 stars.

Patient Portal shows to schedule appointment that I already had, I was at the doctor today for results. No results shown for appointment that was 5 days ago. The patient portal person (no name given) says it will update when the technician gets around to it. I can't understand why customer service is non existent and I was treated like an imposition on their day! When you're face to face with the technicians it is a warm caring experience. Phone calls are subpar and I was left with the question why take the job if you don't like people!
