In Los Angeles a salon pasta would come with little salmon pieces. Here the pasta came with 2 generous sizes of salmon and it was so good! The pizzas were amazing and large size. Made in a classic clay-like pizza oven, the dough was tasty and ingredients were fresh. We all left extremely full. Prices were low to me for what we got plus beer our bill was cheap. If you're in Köln and looking for a nice night out for Italian food then come here. Been around Köln for 5 weeks and this was the best restaurant here. I suggest making reservations ahead of time. Someone else said it on here so I did it. It was full the whole night. It's worth it to come here!

We made a good decision because the food was good! Sitting outside in the square was nice and offered up ample people watching opportunities. The pasta was good! The pizza at other tables looked like it was very very VERY thin crust, so if that's your thing you'd probably enjoy. Like everywhere in Cologne the beer was cheap and tasty. Good pasta, good beer - worth going back to!

Listen up...This place has a hidden gem. The tiramisu at PastaBar was better than anything I had in Rome. The updated version still had the thicker cream but this time there was a bit more liquor (ok with me) and came with fresh fruit (outstanding). I've heard they also have a great chocolate cake (which was sold out). I will go back to PastaBar for tiramisu each time I'm in Koeln, and plan to try the chocolate cake as well. FYI - I deduct one star b/c the pasta was ok. Even though this place apparently makes pasta for Moroccan royalty, I preferred the more al dente pasta found in Rome.
