A cute community book box that is in the cul-de-sac next to the picnic pavilion in the Deerfield Creek neighborhood. This is at the very end of the development past several stop signs so I would imagine that most patrons are on foot and live here.
A wood library with a black roof, it stands on a single post. The door is secured with an eye book and inside, a single shelf of books that were neatly arranged though one large book was sideways. Paperbacks and hardcovers, a variety of books that appeared to be mostly for adults but "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" brought back memories. Good reading options here.
This is charter number 172265 and it is the Deerfield Creek Little Library with this caption, "One day, a few Deerfield Creek moms were talking about what to do with all the books that were read a few times but never touched again. One comment led to another and our very own DFC Little Library was born! The idea is to get you out and about in our beautiful neighborhood and enjoy the exchange of books. Happy Reading!"
