There were alot of books to choose from. we were all able to find something . After which we went in to take a look around. They had a wonderful selection of childrens books, rare books as well. Its a medium sized spot but they fit a childrens corner in. I was pleased to find vintage Richie Rich and Sugar and Spike comic books for 1.00. This was certainly a wonderful place to stumble upon which had alot of gems inside. The vintage type writers were a really cool touch as well. Everything about this place was inviting and warm. At the cash register I came across an assortment of stickers and if you know me, you know I love stickers..Of course I grabbed a couple to complete my purchase. There is a space right by the door that has a sitting area, the leather chair was so comfortable but it was thw huge leather ottoman for me and the chess set that makes you wanna learn to play, if you do t already no how too. I could spend hours sitting and reading. Finally it was time to go but I will most certainly be back to see what other treasures I can find. Until next time Indy reads!!!

When you first walk in, it's a gaming room for the whole family! Then you walk into the bar area and there's lots of things for sale, from merch to beer to other games and books. The folks working were friendly and knowledgeable about events. My cousin ordered the beer flight and woke food. All was delicious. For the flight you could pick any beer or cider on tap. For food we got pretzel, chips and queso, chicken nuggets and grilled cheese. Everything came out relatively quickly. There is a ton space to play game in the next room over and wasn't too loud. There were several people who came to work or read and sat in the bar area and seemed content. Great experience!

We used to love going to the one downtown on Mass Ave also before it closed. But we're thankful this one is still open and that we live so close to it. I've found so many Xmas gifts for friends/family here also. If you're looking to find some retro, classic games and/or books, this might be the motherload! It's tucked in on the backside facing Home Depot, but once you find it the first time, you'll never forget where it is! Go in, grab some games, a beer (or two), and hang out during a trivia night! You'll feel right at home.

We've seen their leadership skills sharpened, critical thinking skills honed and how well they have been able to work collaboratively with their peers. The four C's of twenty-first Century skills are critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication. Acton helps to develop each of these skills in a developmentally appropriate way. I love how they allow our children to read their choice of books during drop everything and read time, allow plenty of outside recess and have quests where they work together to solve real world problems. During core skill time they work on reading, writing and arithmetic. Each of our kids have excelled by working at their own levels, setting goals and achieving them! One of our children is Dyslexic and Acton has been the perfect environment to allow him to work using his strengths while still working on individualized core skills. Our daughter loves "writer's workshop" where she gets to write to a real audience by writing letters, reviews and publish books. They learn History through Story of the World which is fascinating to our whole family. We also enjoyed the Acton Business Fair where children become entrepreneurs and get to sell their products to the community. So much learning happened during that project! Acton instills in children that they are "heroes" on their own journey and heroes face hard times and work to overcome them. Acton is changing the face of education and we are so blessed that we get to be a part of this community of young heroes!
