We had such a horrible experience at a previous preschool and coming to cadence was such a relief. I have seen sooooo much growth in my 4 and 1 year old. My oldest always talks about how much he has learned each day and how much he loves his preschool teachers. My youngest has started saying more vocabulary words and i couldnt believe how much this 1 year old has learned in vocabulary and his baby sign language that his teachers has taught him. I am beyond impressed with cadence and would 100% recommend to any family. They go above and beyond to create a fun, healthy, safe and learning environment for your kiddos.

No one came to the door but a staff member must have been getting back from her lunch and let me in.. without asking for an ID or who I was or who I was there to see. This teacher left me up at the front desk with no staff and went back to a classroom. Two more staff arrived from break and walked past me back to classrooms with still no staff present at the front desk. I was mortified that they would just let anyone inside and left unattended. There was even a debit card laying on the desk in plain sight. Needless to say I left.

When attempting to have a conversation they or she will attempt to talk over you. I eventually had to be rude and talk over her in order to get my part said. A child was inappropriate towards my child multiple times and nothing happened with that child. She was "talked" to but the behavior continued until I sent a firm message that it was unacceptable and just because her mother worked there did not make it anymore acceptable. My child was naughty and placed on a strike system. He was given 2 strikes out the gate. One for the current behavior and one for the previous day. I do believe he should have been put on a strike system but he should of started at one not 2. After which they found every reason possible to give him his 3rd strike and kick him out. I told them that I felt they were targeting him and got no response. My son has been kicked out of this daycare and even though it has been difficult, I believe it is a blessing in disguise. He has gone to this daycare since August 2024 without any problems and as soon as there was one he was out ASAP. But keep in mind the other child that was naughty towards my son is still in this daycare because mom works there. For the summer I asked what activities they would be doing and I got a run down of what to expect. I did not see any evidence of any of these things happening. But then get told we can't make the kids do an activity. And I was not informed that he was not participating. Overall, I would not send my child here again if I had to do it all over again. We have loved Primrose since the beginning. The owner, staff, and teachers have always had the best interest of the kids at heart. Any "issues" we have had along the way, have been professionally handled by all. Our kids love their teachers and the teachers have so much care and love for our babies. I recommend this childcare facility to any parents who want a safe and quality space for their child.

It's so wonderful having a place we completely trust and are thankful to send our kids to. I love the Montessori philosophy and inquiry based learning methods. They do such a great job supporting children's natural curiosity while also teaching independence, responsibility and important life skills. I've been so impressed with how's much my kids have learned and how's much fun they have! They love their teachers, they do so many fun activities and never seem to get bored. I'm also impressed with how often the activities in the room change, and all the cool arts projects they bring home! The owner and all the teachers are truly the best people; kind, nurturing, patient with a solid sense of humor. We're so lucky to have MCC in our lives!

While, they're not as strict as other Montessori daycares, I find that a good approach. Children are meant to be children and they discover with play. Applying strict rules to everything restricts kids imagination but that doesn't mean that they are not given structure. As far as I've seen, they keep the kids active during the summer, and whenever weather permits during the winter. I like that they don't have TV and their playground is great. They are right across from a park so they go there during the summer sometimes. The only thing Im not too happy about is when I've called to let them know about something, I feel like i'm always rushed by the person at the other end.

The center is broken up into multiple rooms. The kids start out in the baby room then it goes toddler room, 2 year old room, 3 year old room, and preschool room. Each room has a teacher and an assistant in it. The best part of this daycare is all of the amenities. During the summer months the kids get to go horseback riding once a week, go on a boat ride once a week, go on nature walks, and swimming once a week. The facility has an indoor heated pool that the kids 3 years and older get to swim in once a week all year long. The daycare has multiple outdoor play areas for the kids to play and they rotate the kids between the different play areas. When we were looking for daycares we called around to a number of the daycares around Ankeny and Easter Seals was one of the cheaper daycares which is amazing considering all of the amenities that you get for the money compared to the other daycares. This daycare is truly a hidden gem.
