My husband & I got to sit with her & her mother at dinner (who occasionally assists with the photography), and we enjoyed learning about her business. When we were sitting together, we got to chatting. I ended up explaining that my husband & I hadn't had a first dance because we chose to have a dinner instead of reception. I asked her if she wouldn't mind taking some photos of us when there was a slow song, and she was more than happy to. The great thing about Mandie was that she stayed just a bit longer to make sure she got some photos of us (and some other extras) because the band took a while before playing a slow song. The pictures she took of us turned out really nice. We're very happy. Our friends who got married gifted us with a framed version of our favorite photo for Christmas, and brought along all the photos that Mandie took. I was really impressed. She got some great shots, especially of our friends' handmade knitted veil. I started taking a look at her blog after their wedding and was impressed by the variety and the beautiful pictures. If you're looking for a great photographer in the Madison area (she does travel outside of Madison, FYI, just shoot her an email and ask), I highly recommend Mandie.

Our date was scheduled for early January 2014. I was hoping she would snap some great photos of my family, including my two children, husband and dog. Only four days before the appointment, she cancels due to a personal issue. It takes her over one month to respond- only to tell me that she is now on bed rest for the next few months. I am heartbroken because now my dog has passed away, and my children are well over their birthday milestones. I ask for a refund and she agrees, only to never send it. She claims she sent the refund on March 20th and I have never heard back from her. Autumn is not someone you should do any business with.
