Recently tried this place due to its high rating and presentable food. The restaurant was receiving enough clientele traffic and our server kept us updated with the status of our order but service was slower than most restaurants (50 minutes for main dish to arrive at table). The restaurant ambiance was "ok" for what look like a Ma & Pa type of restaurant. If you are in the Canóvanas area, it would be a good place to stop for decent Italian food. However, the food quality, service, and restaurant location does not justify San Juan-type pricing. It's a one-and-done type of restaurant.

There were some specialty versions on the menu, but all we wanted was a more traditional Lasagna with ground beef. We asked our server if they could accommodate our request and they had no problem doing this for us. Well, the result was probably the best Lasagna I have ever had! The meat sauce was thick and incredibly tasty, with the perfect balance of Pasta, Meat and Cheese. I can't recommend this Lasagna enough!! Our Server was also wonderful. She was attentive from beginning to end.

The combination of juicy meats and that sweet, soft coconut bread crust is genius -- every bite was rich, satisfying, and full of island flavor. I also had the croquetinies, and they were the perfect crispy, creamy bites -- great texture and full of flavor. You can tell everything is made with care and creativity. They were very good. My husband had a steak burrito which was huge. Steak was ok. It was not busy at all and sometimes had a hard time getting our waitress's attention. Atmosphere was ok, music too loud, floor needs to be replaced. 4 stars because of the food.
