The room we got was tiny and too small for two tall adults. The bed was very comfortable (full bed not a king) as well as the pillows. The room was well decorated and clean. Nice furniture to hold a fridge & microwave. It was too small for us. The staff were very kind & helpful. Wonderful restaurant across the street for breakfast and dinner was a bonus, we loved it. The grounds are well manicured and walking distance to the beach & town. I booked our room 3 1/2 months in advance so would have hoped for a better room. I felt duped on the size. If you are okay with the size then this is a lovely place for you in a great location with wonderful staff.

As soon as we entered into the little lobby for check in, the owner's dog Koda greeted us when we checked in. The woman at the front desk checked us in around 2:30 which I was surprised since check in is usually 4:00. Our room was ready so we decided to go in and unpack. We got a standard room which was perfect for the two of us. The bed was super soft and comfy and I gotta say it was a great nights sleep. Those hotel comforters are soo cozy!! The room was a little small but not by much, it was a very nice room. The linens were clean, overall the whole room was clean and I loved the nautical decor. The bathroom was nice, 1 sink and a nice walk in shower that I really liked. We really enjoyed the courtyard area outside because it had Adirondack chairs surrounded by little fire pits that they lit up at night. We didn't go in the pool because it was only 60° but in the sun it was still nice. Anyone who's looking for a great motel in town here, go to Daunt's!! You won't be disappointed! You'll even be greeted by the dog Koda! She's soo sweet!

I said, "Ladies first." and she said, "Thank you that's so kind." and I took ride to Jani's Kitchen and she gave me for $10. I want to give $2 tip for friendly driver/assistant and she said that's Ok. This taxi company rocks compares to unproffesional bus drivers on Nassau County Bus. Female assistant and female passenger help me get my stuff from my seat in back. I recommend taxi #9 and best driver and assistant ever!! Female assistant on passenger seat even told me walkng direction to Hampton Jitney bus stop. Truelly remarkable employees and customers cortesy. Looking for Suffolk County Transit 10C bus stop was little confuse since it was my first visit to Montauk, so I decided to take taxi. I will recommend 668 Mnt Taxi to any tourists that taking Hampton Jitney/LIRR to use this wonderful taxi service. The pool is indoors here which also makes this a perfect off season pick - we came in May when it was still a bit cool out, but the pool being indoors meant it was still a great pool day. Included in your stay is beach chair and umbrella service, but it was too chilly out for us to take advantage of that. We did enjoy sitting out on the lounge chairs on the beachfront deck they have here. The rooms we stayed in did have pretty big cracks under the doors which felt a little sketchy, and my mom's shower wasn't working properly. They would have moved us but we were already settled in when we noticed. Overall, great location, beachfront, amenities abound. Pros outweigh the cons for me.

This is the Mystic Amtrak station. It should be noted that this station is not staffed by Amtrak,…read moreit is run by volunteers from the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce. They are very friendly and willing to help you, and can offer some help with trains. There is a Quik Trak Kiosk here where you can print tickets, but it is indoors, so if the station is closed you can not print tickets. There is a free hotline to call Amtrak Directly (also inside). The number for Amtrak is 1-800-USA-RAIL. Track 1 (typically south bound, station side) has a nice covered area where you can wait for the train. Track 2, across the tracks from the station, has a shelter. The hours are 10 Am to 4 PM. There is free parking. I would ask the volunteers, but it may also be ok to leave your car there overnight if you are spending the night in Boston or such.
