    Taco Board

We went for a date night another couple! Inside was a bit loud, but nice decor and dark color tones. Our server was pleasant and had good suggestions. The Korean Bread and Taco Board were amazing and well with the price. Will go back and try other menu offerings!

I'm giving 4 starts only because service wasn't that fast and it took them forever to get drinks and food . But taste of food was amazing. I had Korean tacos and asada and recommend them The menus is small but everything looks delicious. I'll come back to try more food items

This little bar was such a bonus find in Scottsdale. This was a warm wooden enclave that just spoke speakeasy. As we walked in, the cool music, dim lighting and rustic vibe was just so enticing. We sat at the bar and were duly well taken care of by the super friendly and attentive bartenders well versed in their craft. I absolutely love that their menu puts it all out there and notes that "each drink is crafted with intention and we are always excited to share our techniques, secrets, and stories of the drinks and the spirits that reside within them." The cocktails were quite literally TO DIE FOR... a feast of all the senses from the evocative menu descriptions, the well crafted and intentional presentation, to the welcoming off-beat flavor experience ... Our faves: Spam Folder - bourbon, tequila, cranberry, smoked jalapeno cordial, raspberry sage honey, and GOCHUJANG SPAM served in a Spam container... SHOWSTOPPER! Diamond Eyes - olive oil fat washed potato vodka, bleu cheese stuffed castelvetrano olives, house olive caper saline water cracker, creme fraiche and .... caviar .... MOVE OVER JAMES! Boule Sourdough - house cultured butter, seasonal preserves, maldon sea salt ... freshly made & classic. Perfect. The experience at this venue was beyond exceptional. Fun times with great staff, a wonderful ambiance, and exceptional food and drinks! We would make it on our hit list to revisit on another trip to Scottsdale.... Impressive. Highly recommended!

My friend and i decided to try a new to us spot. The Liquor Pig stood out with the menu options (taco board). There were so many cool options for cocktails as well. The Golden hour with tequila was a nice twist to a regular margarita with autumn spices and apple. The apple slices were a nice pallet cleanser during the meal. My friend is a sucker for a whiskey sour and the Amber Eclipse didn't disappoint. The Burrata was recommended my our server Alex, was so fun energetic and great with suggestions. The short rib meat was so tender that it melted in the mouth. The grilled toppings and pickled onions gave it a nice balance of flavors. Grilled avocado, the baked bean mix and sauces were great! The mustard sauce was the best one to me. The place is like a high end bar... intimate setting because of the low lighting on the table and above. A bit loud for table conversation.

Came on Valentines Day for a 10pm reservation. The lady at the door seemed really anxious. Maybe they're not used to being people coming in. But we sat at the bar. Nathan the bartender made fabulous espresso martinis. I ordered the chicken tacos which were really good. My partner had the short rib he said it was just okay. He said it had way too much flavor. I loved the vibe very sexy bar. Has a downtown vibe.

After watching some college football at Barstool Scottsdale, we were looking for a spot close by to grab a drink. I hopped on the trusty Yelp app and came across Liquor Pig. With a cool name like that, I was in. We walked over and were seated at the bar without a wait. Ambiance (4.5/5): Liquor Pig has a speakeasy ambiance without being a speakeasy. What I'm talking about is a dimly lit and elegant bar and restaurant. Not what I was expecting in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale. There are both tables, high tops, and some seats at the bar. Service (4.5/5): I always appreciate efficient, friendly, and attentive service. That's what I experienced at Liquor Pig. The bartender greeted us right when we arrived, brought us some water, and was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. We ended up having two cocktails each and he made some good recommendations. Solid in all respects. Food (N/A): I had dinner prior so I was on a liquid diet. I did take a peak at the menu and it's a nice fusion menu incorporating American, Asian, and Peruvian influences. The menu was so interesting that I remarked that I would have to return to try their food at some point. Drinks (5/5): Speakeasy-quality drinks. An interesting craft cocktail menu with a nice blend of different flavor profiles and ingredients. Each cocktail on the menu has a short description which I always appreciate. Both of my cocktails were well-made and creative. The kind of spot I would come back to again and again for the quality of their cocktails. While they're definitely a cocktail bar, they have a full bar if you're looking for something different. Parking can be tough in Old Town, but I found free parking on the street a few blocks away. If you circle around, you can find a spot. Or you can pay to park in a surface lot of parking garage. Can't wait to come back to try the food!

Excellent service and great ambiance, but sadly the drinks weren't well-balanced. I tried 3, but maybe I just didn't order well.

I really enjoyed coming to this place! We had reservations and were seated right away. The place is pretty cozy and the ambiance was great and not too loud. The cocktails were delicious and love the variety and creativity. The food was equally great and the favorites that night were the octopus, the pork belly tacos and the black cod. Great place for a gathering with friends or date night!

They hit a few high notes (ceviche, poutine) but other things were just okay (short rib taco board, thai inspired cod). What was dumbfounding is the kitchen service was nearly twice as fast as the bar so we had most of our food delivered before our first drinks. It seems like a drinks first place but they were crazy slow despite the bar being staffed well. So many other chef driven options it's hard to see why to return.

THIS LITTLE PIGGY This little piggy...Went to the Restaurant This little piggy...Did not Stay Home The dining room is small, so all the music, noise, and chatter did not disperse well in the enclosed space, therefore it was very loud to where I was yelling across the table to talk. Even the waiter did not hear me and put in my order wrong. There's plenty of boozy cocktails to choose from so you can drown yourself in liquor while you are drowned out from the background noise. If you are not a liquor swine, then wine may be more of your pigsty-le. They have quite the extensive list that would make you squeal in delight. This little piggy...Had beef short rib This little piggy... Had puns The SCHNITZEL showed up as a Lincoln log. It looked like someone took a SCHNITZEL on my plate. Their schnitzel was a very abstract rendition of a classic. The schnitzel itself was kind of dry but there was a whole grain mustard sauce with it adding a tangy and sour punch. With all the sides on the plate it added contrasting taste and texture. The flavors were... interesting... It was different. It was flavorful, but felt somewhat disconnected. Sorry to say, each bite didn't make me want to take another bite, except in hopes that I would get the full flavor in the next bite. SHAKSHOUKA was basically lamb meatballs in sauce, and tasted like... well... lamb balls. It would have been better if it wasn't in a pond of various sauces with the egg right in the middle of it all. The food was tasty but the composition was weird and maybe because of this plating, there wasn't real synergy with the dish, similar to the Schnitzel. Combined all together, the sauces ran together and overall didn't go well together. Alone, a couple of the sauces were good but there was one sour mustard-like sauce that shouldn't have been on the plate. But the bread was good to dip in the other sauces and eat with the meatballs. The potato in the dish seemed out of place, to be honest. SHORT RIB was not Short on flavor. Short rib is something that is hard to mess up and is a safe dish if you don't want to venture toward the other exotic offerings. The meat was tender and had savory glaze to it. The dish was simple but probably the best one that I tasted. These dishes were smaller than normal portions but bigger than tapas size dishes. So plan accordingly to your appetite. The food was pretty rich so I ended up drinking a lot of water. That being said... This little piggy...had to go pee pee peeeeeee all the way home

Highly recommend! Amazing service; from calling with questions, friendly staff, getting every party seated quickly, knowledge about the menu, and checking in throughout your stay! The ambiance is very pleasant with a cute luxury bar theme but it was a little loud (that means people are having a good time). The menu was so much fun, everything on there was a win. You can tell the chef pours their heart and soul into the food. Our lovely waitress Alex, said the burrata was fire and boy was she right! We also got the taco board, that is a must if you're dining with people who love to eat. It was just two of us dining and we ended up taking a small portion of the meat home ; as it says it serves 2-4 people. The drinks....mouthwatering good and a strong portion that is well balanced. There were so many options to choose from and they are all so delicious. Couldn't recommend this place enough. A gem

Overall a really cute new spot in Scottsdale. I think the cocktail menu is great with options both familiar and more unique. I tried the Natural Born Artist and really enjoyed the flavors. As for the food, I don't think I'm the target audience here. I can appreciate it for what it is and the thought behind each dish but it did end up being fairly pricy for not a lot of food when split between two people to share (which was the recommendation). The Tom Kha Gai is a scallop crudo dish but the Thai flavors were a little bit mild for my taste. The pork belly was tasty but just so small. Our favorite was by far the chicken Marsala but it definitely left us wanting more. I do think Liquor Pig is an interesting and creative addition to Scottsdale and would definitely return to try more of the cocktails.

Very intimate and cozy spot. All food items are tapas style so small portion sizes meant for the table to order a couple of items and share. We ordered the Liquor Pig bread for the table which came out nice and warm and was served with this amazing miso butter. I ordered the Chicken Marsala and Indigo Evening cocktail. This Chicken Marsala is not your typical chicken Marsala dish. It came out looking like a piece of artwork on a plate with what appeared to be ravioli style pasta with chicken underneath and also meat inside. It was sooo delicious and flavorful. While my drink was more refreshing than sweet (what I prefer), I still enjoyed it.. I highly recommend making reservations if you plan to come here due to it being a small space. This is a culinary experience!

The retro-vibed atmosphere of the Papago Motor Inn complements the laid back pace of your meal. This is not a sushi spot or an Izakaya. Hai Noon is a chef presenting southwestern ingredients in a most respectful, flavorful and innovative manner. I was lucky enough to return 3 times in the past month. To my surprise, ingredients and sauces did not repeat themselves, and dishes were completely distinct in flavor and presentation. This is definitely my favorite food experience of the past few years...anywhere. All of our visits were handled by our waiter/guide "Arizona", who described dishes, and when asked what his favorites were (and unlike many other places that say everything is good when it isn't), he informed us we would love everything, but he could help us with the order we ate them, and suggest a sampling if we were just picking out a half dozen dishes. He was right. Everything was captivating, surprising and...absolutely delicious. Do not miss the specials...there will be 4 or 5 on a small piece of paper, and a couple of "special" drinks. These are seasonal items the chef wants to add because of the timing and presentation. They exemplify the category...they are indeed, SPECIAL. The second visit established a pattern. Have Arizona order, until you are full. He checked in with us along the way, and made a few modifications based on our hunger level, and allowing for certain dishes to be repeated. A few things really stood out because I hadn't tasted anything quite like those dishes. Other dishes ie: variations on classic aguachile, were just better than anything I've had elsewhere. Salmon and Whitefish carpaccios were both stellar, with really good hot sesame oil adding to the dish's garlic, ginger and Yuzu base. And, when you are done with the last bite of fish, they bring out rich, grilled slices of bread to mop up that sauce. We last started with Sashimi featuring Sea Bream, that had fatty belly, and less fatty but oh-so-flavorful filet slices, and an accompanying broth. Big Eye Tuna was served on a flavorful beet puree with sweet dark cherry wine notes. Since we didn't read the menu's notes before, a quick check showed that Nobuo does create a Pinot Noir reduction that invites wiping the plate clean. The first time, the Tuna and all traces of the puree were finished by the time Arizona walked out to describe the dish for us. That's why I re-ordered it each time we visited. Soup spoons present a sashimi/ceviche/aguachile experience that is delicate, nuanced, complex and downright spectacular in your mouth. Whether it showcased an oyster, hamachi or kampachi, each spoon was an amazing taste experience with complementing flavors and textures that were completely unexpected. Softshell Crab with cold noodles was the most succulent Softshell crab I have ever enjoyed, warm, beautifully moist and flavor popping within its crispy exterior, set off by the chilled vinegar and broth accented noodles. Brussel Sprouts with a honey mustard and wasabi glaze disappeared immediately. As it turns out, wasabi is the missing ingredient in many Brussel Sprout dishes! The Yams with goat cheese and Fresno chiles reminded me of the amazing fire-grilled gourds and yam dishes I have had at Bacanora...just unique and different. Two Wash chicken was beautifully caramelized finger food that I could also have made a meal out of. We thought it was amazing, and then the chef came out and told us how inspired he was when he first met the chicken farmers and cooked with their chicken, and if possible, the chicken became even more memorable for the story and connection. Curry marinated lamb was rich, and savory, and was another dish I could make a meal out of. The Pork Belly and Mushroom rice was likewise delicious, and full or deep umami richness and delectable meat and mushroom morsels. The Mushrooms en papillote (mushrooms served in paper), had absorbed what tasted like a delicious Veal Stock, were tastily caramelized, and then steamed in the paper container. They were so good we had to have another...and we weren't skimping on food. Beverages (Alcoholic and non) get the same attention. The cocktail list sounds absolutely crazy, with improbable ingredients. But all of the ones we sampled work, and they are wonderful (sharing amongst our table, we have now tried over half of the cocktails...and so far, they are damn great drinks). The beer selection is small and ideal for the food, as are the well-chosen cold sakes that span all budgets. It is better with a small group of people so you can really explore the breadth of fabulous offerings, but I think it's also an amazing spot to share food on a date!
