We stumbled upon this place while driving around the small town of Shelbyville Kentucky. The sign out front stated that the Cox's Smokers Outlet (trying not to laugh) had a wide selection of cigars. The only cigars that this place stocked were cheap ass, pre-packaged, Dutch Masters that were so rank that Drunk Sailors would avoid them. The whole place was creepy. If not for the NASCAR paraphernalia and cheap tobacco products, this place would have been nothing but four bare walls. I really felt like I walked into a Dukes of Hazard re-run. My other complaint is, with a name like Cox's smokers outlet (trying not to giggle), how do they not sell T-Shirts and lighters? Not since my visit to the Kum and Go (convenience store chain in Iowa) have I seen a better promotional opportunity. In summation: This place is a total waste of time. Upon approaching the window, we weren't greeted, the older dark haired gentleman with a beard simply said "yeah?" Like what do you want? I asked for our order, and he then slams the window door. He comes back and asks for both of our IDs, I tell him I have my husbands but not mine. Without saying another word, he slams the window. I then get a little louder to talk THROUGH the glass that I will be RIGHT back since I live literally .5 miles from this location. Now let me state this: I served alcohol for 10 years. I know the importance of IDing anyone under 40. My husband who is a restaurant manager, understands completely as well. I get that asking for both IDs is critical to not getting shut down. that being said, there is NO reason to treat us so rudely. When I came back up there with my ID, I went inside this time. Once again the man never said a word. Never said have a nice day, never told me what my total was. It was like I was inconveniencing him while he was watching Netflix on his phone WHILE DOING A JOB. He treated us as if we were a couple of 15 year olds trying to buy a bottle of Burnett's vodka. Hopefully his attitude will be fixed. And hopefully he isn't the one who runs this establishment. With customer service skills like that, it'll cause people to stop returning.

But even when higher we are talking maybe $5 or so. So nothing to keep you from wanting to browse. I'm a bourbon guy so I usually come here when bourbon hunting new or hard to find bottles.
