I have sought mental health help for over 10 years and worked in the mental health field for…read moreseveral of those years, and this is the most unprofessional, incompetency-filled establishment that I have ever dealt with. This review comes after trying to look past mistakes and inaccuracies, big and small, for over a year. These include my psychiatric nurse practitioner constantly forgetting to call in my medication to the pharmacy multiple times, having my diagnoses incorrect in the system which affected my insurance's decision on payment of medication, not having providers' voicemail set up which forced me to have to leave messages about my mental health with the front desk employees, oh and good luck getting anyone to call you back. There have been countless times that I have run out of my psychiatric medications due to my provider's negligence, only to miss several days of the medication because nobody returns my or my pharmacist's calls. For those of you who aren't familiar with psychiatric care, taking medication consistently is key for your mental health. A missed dose or two for certain medications can potentially have catastrophic consequences. For instance, as of the time that I'm writing this, I'm about to have to spend at least the whole weekend, plus however many days it takes for them to return mine and my pharmacist's calls without one of my medications, because my provider didn't call in one of my medications after my last visit. I assumed that when she called them in, she called ALL of them in, only to realize today when trying to get a refill that she didn't. So tonight, I will miss one of several more doses. This is a medication I have been on for YEARS. She has prescribed it to me herself for around the last 6 months. By Monday, I will be crying over everything, sleep deprived, and be finding it hard to deal with intense emotions. Other incidents include making an appointment with a specific provider, only to be dumped onto another provider without my knowledge, driving an hour to an appointment to find out that the provider was not there and nobody bothered to tell me that my appointment was cancelled, and constantly not being listened to by my provider. I really tried to hang on, as switching psychiatric providers is a task in itself, but I've had enough. I will say that I did not have as many problems when I was being seen at their Oxford location. I hope this review saves someone who is already struggling from having to struggle even more. Find someone who is professional, competent, and who will listen to you. The right provider makes all the difference.
