We found this by researching Arcadia and boy are we happy we did! This is a well-cared for sanctuary for exotic animals who were no longer wanted or needed for their original purpose or just couldn't be cared for anymore. It is always sad to learn about animals who are bought for a sole purpose then discarded. The good news for these animals is that they are now in great hands. Lynn took us on a private tour of the sanctuary. Each animal has a name, a story and Lynn educated us on each animal species in their care. These folks are knowledgeable, exceptionally caring and dedicate their lives to these animals. We were impressed by the educational value of this visit and seeing how loved the animals are. You need to call to make a tour reservation, there is a charge but it is low compared to the value and it is for a great cause. We will be back with family and friends and encourage others to take an interest in this sanctuary. read more
