We came here to see the famous and historically important Linlithgow Palace. It was under construction at the time, but still lots to see from outside and lots of info plates to read.
We parked our car at the Water Yett Carpark just a few minutes away by foot. And that's actually a great starting point for this nice circular walk around the Loch.
From the free carpark you can walk to the Palace and then keep walking counterclockwise around the Loch. The easy and flat trail leads all around the Loch (with a short detour to the main road).
Nice and quiet. With nice views of the Palace from the other side of the Loch. It goes all around until you're back at the carpark. We took it very slow with our Bulldog and it took about 45-60mins.
A very nice thing to do when visiting the town and the palace. There's also a picnic area by the carpark, a playground and a public toilet. read more
