We got a fantastic tour by two super enthusiastic tour guides who went above and beyond. The admissions folks answered all questions gave me a ton of counselor info to bring back to my office. The students got to check out the dorms and an actual room, got to eat in the dining hall and checked out all of the major buildings.... one of the better tours from our trip. The staff and teachers all seem wonderful. C'mon, the admissions counselor hand wrote a thankyou note to me, after my meeting with her and my guided tour of the grounds. They have a student body that would fit into the crack of a sidewalk, but still, it's the thought that counts, right? And that's one of the attractions of Linfield, small class sizes and a tight-knit student body. It's a beautiful liberal arts college that has a wonderful education program, but I'm a little nervous it might be too much like high school. Bu the location is prime. Corrupt and expensive, stifles dissent, administration lacks empathy, etc. Would definitely not recommend to a friend. They also have stolen money from me and thousands from other students. The corruption needs to be exposed. There are some decent profs and some great ones, but the real issues lie with admin and their high school babysitter mentality. To worsen things, they hate free speech and have a nonsensical policy in regards to alcohol usage. I could be more detailed, but I don't feel that it's necessary. I had an unsatisfactory experience and left. They don't care about losing students; the $70,000,000 endowment means more than retaining students and treating them well. In bringing my complaints to the administration, I was harassed and insulted, and I was told by the dean that if I didn't like it, I should leave. And that's exactly what I did. They are aloof and arrogant, and until this culture changes, they will not forge meaningful connections with their students. You'd assume $51,000 would buy some respect, but that is hardly the case. read more

Linfield College, home of the Wildcats, is an amazing school. The faculty and students are warm, kind, smart and talented. I loved going to and graduating with my fellow Wildcats. The professors are brilliant and an inspiration for their students. The staff go out of their way to assist in meeting and exceeding the students needs. The students come from all over the world to be a part of this community and I am honored to be a Wildcat. We are a brilliant bunch of brainiacs groomed for greatness!! I highly recommend attending college here!! They host events for alums and the community regularly, including arts, music, inspirational speakers, sports and networking opportunities!! Go Wildcats... My Alma Mater, what can I say? Spent a good four years here doing things college students do. Had some of the best teachers ever here: Tichenor, Gans, Lingle, all of the soc. dept. Yes, the student body is definitely small, but that's what makes it like "family" right? Loved it and definitely have treasured memories! read more

Was at 2013 graduation. Campus is beautiful, just as I envisioned a college campus to be as I grew up as a kid. Red brick buildings with lush green lawns. The programs are well designed, and professionally produced. This place is nothing like the State U I attended. read more

Linfield College does not care about its students. They only care about the money that these students have the potential​ to bring them. As a student who pays tuition​​ along with paying for a parking​ premit. I have been told that despite me paying for these services those who aren't paying for these things have a higher priority​ level to the school than I do. When I called to complain about this treatment I was told that these non-students are bringing in so much money for the college that there was nothing the administration​ was willing to do to help me. I was told that these people who aren't wildcats are more important to than me: an actual student. read more

The education department is a disaster. Why are the professors constantly on sabbatical or teaching abroad? I am paying them to teach my student, and they are not holding up their end. Very disappointing, I wish my student had the chance to make the college decision all over again. We would go a different way! read more
