After my visit yesterday to A1 (formerly Broadway Rental), I wish zero stars was an option, because that's how bad my experience was.I came to the store looking to rent some scaffolds. The clerk asked for my driver license, I provided that to him. He looked puzzled and called for his manager Zack. They said there's a note here to not do business with me or my wife, due to a discrepancy from April 2021. That caught me by surprise because they said they are under new management. So I challenged them that if they truly are under new mgmt, then they should forget about the past discrepancy and do business with me. They said nope, You need to clear that up with the Party rental folks. I said, look, I'm willing to forgive you all of offending us and moving forward if you will. He continue to tell me emphatically NO! Now sense he wanted to continue trying to humiliate me, let me tell you why there was a discrepancy to begin with. In 2021, we rented a Gold Throne chair from Broadway Party Rental, for our very special 90 year old dad's birthday party. When the chair was delivered to us (late by the way) it was in bad shape, did't look as beautiful as the picture, paint was chipped, stains were on the velvet seat, both arms were broke and poorly glued back together, the legs were chipped, scratched, and looking wretched. We called the company to stress our disappointment, asked to speak with the manager. When we got on the phone with him and started to tell him about the issue, He became irate with us, thinking we were a different previous customer that had already complained about other chairs that were rented. Here's the catch, he said "You people are all the same. You rent from us and all you want to do is get stuff for free" We told him we never rented from from him and he had the wrong customer. We asked him what is that supposed to mean, he says "you know exactly what that means". So, yes we called him a racist, returned his broke down chair, and never looked back. The chair wasn't worth the $85.00 rental fee. We would have agreed to getting a better chair, as it wasn't about the money for us, because that chair wasn't worth $5.00. The close up photos show how abused the chair was when delivered. You can't tell from the full picture just how bad it was. Now a year later and New Mgmt, we see that they are still up to there old tricks. It should not have been a race issue. You classified us by saying "You people are all the same". Never the less, our fathers event was amazing and Thank God we made it, even with that horrible chair. By the way, Home Depot rental had everything I needed and was quite happy to do business with me. We encourage anyone who sees this review to think twice about A1 and Broadway Party Rental. This shows a lack of integrity on the part of the business and the Mgmt has not demonstrated any effort to move forward.

    I rented a tent, tables, chairs, table linens, and glassware from Broadway Party and Tent Rental…read more(BPTR) - cost in excess of $2,000.00 - for a wedding at our home in Roseville, MN A few days before the event, BPTR sent out Gopher State to mark utilities in advance of setting up the tent. This marking should have been done with "flags only," but due to a lack of communication between BPTR and Gopher State it was marked in paint. The entire grassy lawn where the wedding was to take place was covered in Day-Glo red and orange paint just days before the event. Since the marking was done by Gopher State (at BPTR's request and direction) BPTR denies any responsibility. Tony at BPTR says "This happens every now and then - it's just the luck of the draw - it's not our fault." He (Tony) suggested that I purchase green spray paint and try to paint over the mess. Next, the tent and chairs arrived. I had specifically asked if the white tent and chairs would be clean and in good condition. The representative at BPTR assured me that "we take great pride in the excellent condition of our rental equipment." The tent that was delivered had apparently been stored soiled and wet. The "white" tent/canopy was covered inside and out with splotches of black mold. The chairs were also filthy - among the identifiable substances on the chairs were dried mustard, red wine, and dessicated pickle slices. I paid an additional $100 fee for tent lighting that was to be equipped with dimmer switches - guess what - no dimmers! The only option was to shine glaring, halogen work lights down on our guests. I could go on - for example the condition of the tables etc. - but you get the idea. It's unfortunate that in situations like this the customer has little or no recourse. One either has to accept what is delivered or go without. We (a team of 5 friends and family members) spent hours (of our wedding day) scrubbing down both the tent and 175 chairs with bleach and water in order to provide a sanitary environment for our guests. The guys who delivered the equipment said "You should call and complain about this." We did. Tony and Terry (owner/manager) both assured us how "terribly sorry" they were about our experience. But what would they do about it? NOTHING. Companies like BPTR get away with this because weddings are (with luck and love) once-in-a-lifetime events and they (BPTR) are apparently not concerned about the repeat business. I'm taking the time to write this in the hope that it will warn others what to expect if they choose Broadway Party and Tent Rental for their special day.

We wanted this event to be a fantastic celebration, truly special, and a fun and memorable experience. Fun Services helped 100% make this happen. I don't know how my coworker found this place, but I'm so glad she did! They worked with our budget, they delivered AND picked up all 8 of our rental games (and some of them were quite large), they set everything up for us (such as the inflatable money grab machine and the electronic basketball hoop game), and also supplied a wide variety of prizes for the games! Before we decided which games we wanted to rent, my coworker and I asked if we could come to their warehouse and see what games they had available. The staff at Fun Services were fantastic - they gave us a tour of the warehouse, answered all of our questions (we had TONS), gave suggestions, and were very honest with us about the practicality of certain games (some were huge and would require more space than we had). They have a massive, MASSIVE selection...we definitely had a hard time picking just 8 or so games to rent. The quality of the rental games were great. The money machine was better than we could have hoped. It came with the inflator, was large enough to fit probably two middle school kids (don't recommend it though), and even had a built-in buzzer. They also have some more classic games, like ball toss, milk bottle toss, ring toss, football toss, lobster launch (personal favorite), and skeeball. Again, they worked with us, they accommodated our needs, they were incredibly patient with us...I can't think of any other business in the Twin Cities I'd want to rent carnival games from.

We were hosting an event for kids and I saw them online and went through their website which was very user friendly. I filled out the online questionnaire, and they promptly emailed me back. From there I sent out my budget, and list of items I was interested in, to which they quickly replied, and even called me on the phone to further explain some things I was unsure about. After I selected the items I was interested in, they sent me an agreement form, and we were good to go! So easy! I dealt with Karen throughout all of this, and her patience and kindness was so helpful and appreciated! The day we picked up the items they showed me all of the items, and even showed me how to set up some of the larger items! They also included detailed instructions on set-up and take-down, with YouTube video links to check out if we needed extra guidance (which we didn't because the instructions were so easy to follow)! Day of the event everything went so easy. Because they had already showed me how to set things up, it was a piece of cake to get everything assembled! We got so many compliments on the games we chose, and everyone was impressed with how fun and easy they were to use! Taking down all of the items was quick and easy. Upon returning the games when I pulled up to the door, they unloaded everything and were so courteous and kind. 10 out of 10 I would recommend this company to anyone looking to host am event and rent carnival games (which is what we rented), bouncy castles, and so much more! Thanks you Fun Services for making our event so fun and special!!!
