It's painted a light mossy green which is soothing. I really like the large chandelier in the front area and the funky chic silver filigree lights in the pedicure area. I had booked an appointment for noon and I had to wait about 15 minutes for my turn. They were really busy on Saturday. The pedicure was ok. Then it was time for my manicure. The guy in the shop did my manicure and did a terrible job of it. He was filing my nails wildly and I ended up fixing some nails that were not looking good. Then after he painted my nails, I looked closely at them and noticed he missed parts here and there and I saw fibers from the cotton balls mixed in the polish. What a mess. So he removed all the polish and started over. But he made a mess again. The one girl came over to finish my manicure and I was pleased with what she did. Overall it was pretty good and I'll most likely return as long as I don't have the guy do my mani pedi.

I am reaching "that" age where my face is beginning to show its age. Factors like sun damage, poor…read morenutrition, smoking, etc. have me looking older than I really am. I have been apprehensive to do something that I thought would be drastic like botox and fillers. I was afraid I would look "plastic" or not like myself. I decided to go and visit Dr. McWhirter in Airdrie at ReNue. From the moment I walked in the door I felt instantly at ease. The place was clean and had a nice modern feel- not sterile like some doctors' offices can be. The receptionist (I think her name was Erin) was super friendly and helpful. I think she could tell I was nervous and she instantly put me at ease. I ended up getting botox in my forehead (to prevent further frown lines) and some filler in my "crow's feet" around my eyes. I am TERRIFIED of needles, but Dr. McWhirter was very gentle and I only felt a mild discomfort. I was afraid he would tell me I looked terrible and try to "upsell" me procedures that I didn't need. Not the case at all. It's been three months and I am very pleased with the results. People tell me I look great and want to know my secret. I feel like my face has had 5 years taken off of it. I would highly recommend this place!

As long as Midtown and Sid are in business, that's where I go!
