My first ever attempt at getting headshots. Nill was awesome for several reasons. I was nervous…read morebecause I've never been photographed this way. It's all about you and nothing else. That was nerve-racking for me! Nill made me comfortable right away. He was super flexible on the kind of package he could deliver. He allotted enough time for me to not feel rushed, at all. He took time to speak with me and get an understanding of what I needed so that he could really provide it. Nill is confident but not arrogant. At all times I felt a sense that he really cared about me feeling confident that I'd walk away satisfied with the result. He never once projected a "just trust me" vibe. I'll be going back to Nill for future headshots because I am convinced, now more than ever, that hiring a pro is a worthy investment in presenting your best self.

I found Upstate Headshots on Yelp while looking for a professional photographer to take some…read morebusiness photos of me. I had an absolutely phenomenal experience getting my head shots taken by Alaina. In the process of re-designing my small businesses web site, my web designer quickly made me realize that I needed much higher quality images of myself for everything from my web site, to my business facebook page, to linked in etc. I have almost no style, and a terrible sense of design. Alaina helped me every step of the way from what to wear, to how to treat my body for the few days leading up to the photo shoot (sleep, water intake etc). I brought 4 different outfits, and we photographed three of them to see what was working. We tried different lighting, styles, outfits, looks etc. Her office is very high tech - after each shoot we would go and look at the photos in HD on a large TV to see what we liked and what we didn't. Then we would go in and shoot some more. I am so happy with how the photos turned out. I am sending my girlfriend in asap to get headshots taken for her small business. The price was very fair for the service... and Alaina was so much fun to work it. I never knew being a model could be so much fun (I laughed the whole way through it). Upstate Headshots is without a doubt the go to photographer / headshot company to use the next time you need someone to take your shots.

She helps you not be nervous about standing in front of the camera and tells jokes and helps put you at ease. The end result gave me the best headshot I've ever had taken and it really made me feel good about myself. Everyone leaves Upstate Headshots feeling good about themselves. It's a really positive experience.
