Since I…read moremoved to Eagle Mountain, I don't find myself going over to that theatre as much anymore. I happened to have a sweet deal at a Megaplex location and decided to check out the newer Megaplex in Vineyard. If you don't visit Vineyard every other Tuesday, it seems like they pop up a new building every time you blink. I have loved seeing the area expand more and more. This location is conveniently located near all kinds of restaurants and dessert shops, which is great when it is a movie theatre. On my particular visit, I went to see JoyRide and I had a premium ticket so I got the most premium seat--how exciting! I also went at like 10:30pm because I don't like sitting in a theatre with a bunch of people, especially screaming kids. I redeemed my Megaplex rewards for a popcorn refill and a drink refill. It was a bit confusing on how to redeem these items since they were paid for in advance but I didn't want people to think I was stealing either. The popcorn itself was burnt to a crisp. When I poured it out, there was all kinds of black remnants in the tub. Since when did theatre popcorn turn into such a bad option? The staff was really nice though, the movie was great, and the theatre is big, clean and new. The other Megaplex location I used to go to was super outdated and not nearly as nice. I am a bit far from this location so it is not necessarily convenient but I would prefer it over other locations just because of how nice it is. One bummer is that the parking can be tricky, just because of all the surrounding businesses that also use parking. I will definitely keep this location in mind for my next movie!

The rides, animals, corn maze, corn pit, and pumpkin stand were so much fun. I liked the corn maze wasn't overly big but it was just the right size. My kids loved going on the rides as many times as they could. They had the carousel, tea cups, swings, and many other rides. the pumpkins they were selling were good sized and there were many varieties. They had portable potty's for customers to use. We came during the day and there was a food stand selling Mexican style corn on the cob and drinks. There's also a little general store that sold popcorn, Carmel apples, ice cream and fruit. I will definitely be back several times before the season ends.

I brought my stroller and after I left there were so many stickers in the wheels of my stroller. I also wish there was more shade. They have rides but I honestly don't get the height requirements. They make no sense. The rides are mainly small carnival type rides. Most of the height requirements are about 42 inches. You go to Disneyland and a lot of big rides such as Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain and Guardians of the Galaxy all have a height requirement of 40 inches. Those are big thrill rides there their height requirement is less than a small carnival ride. It's so weird to me. My baby was able to go on 3 rides. I think they were understaffed or something because they didn't have a worker at every ride. You would get to a ride and have to wait for a worker to come over. I also waited a very long time for the hayride. The line wasn't long but we waited a long time for them to get a worker to come over. I would come back but only if I win free tickets again. This isn't a place I would want to pay full price for.

You even have the option to play scavenger hunt games to win small prizes. There are also lots of interactive pieces in the exhibit, so I recommend bringing some hand sanitizer. You have to give them your physical address, phone number, email, and birthday, including day, month and year. You also had to sign a waiver. When you go to places like Lagoon you don't need to sign a waiver. This place is literally just walking around. They should do something where you agree to their terms when you buy the ticket and don't have to sign a waiver. Also, even though we bought our tickets in advance, we still had to wait in line with all of the people buying their tickets at the entrance, so buying ahead didn't save any time. We had to wait for 40 minutes to actually begin the experience. In a nutshell, if you've been to Disneyland, this place is like waiting in line at Disneyland.

Combined with the steep incline, it was just slow going but no special gear was necessary. It's always the downhill with these conditions that get me, but I didn't fall this time. Yes, it is steep in parts but there were enough not so steep parts for you to catch your breath. With the sunny weather and a less hazy day, I was treated to a beautiful view of Provo, Utah Lake and all the surrounding mountains dusted with fresh snow. If you have time for only one hike in the area, this wouldn't be a bad one. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Squaw Peak isn't the steepest hike I've done in my life, but it was pretty steep! (Not steeper than the Y...don't worry.) The first bit of the trail is a gradual incline on the thicker paths of Rock Canyon Trail. After hiking on Rock Canyon Trail for a while, you turn left onto a smaller, poorly marked trail. This is Squaw Peak Trail! It is steeper, narrower, and more secluded than Rock Canyon trail. There are parts of the trail that are pretty easy to walk through, and there are other parts that are suuuper steep. It sounds tough, but anyone who is in average shape should be able to do it just fine. 2. The entire hike is gorgeous! The view from the bottom is pretty as you look up to the jagged-looking rocks. Then, the trail is pretty as it runs through densely packed trees and other plants. THEN, the view from the top is amazing!!!! On one side you can see the trees growing on the side of the mountain, and on the other side you can see the entire Utah Valley -- all the way from the point of the mountain in Lehi until far south of Provo! It is such a beautiful view. And there are beautiful, blooming flowers and plants covering the top of the mountain. 3. The ENTIRE hike, my head was getting swarmed by bees and flies. I had used fragrant dry shampoo and was wearing scented lotion, and it must have attracted them, because they would not leave me alone! I wish I had brought bug spray! We also saw a snake. It was actually huge. I heard something moving and looked near my feet and saw a thick, long, black and yellow snake right next to my feet!!!! I was sort of freaking out, but it ended up being okay. I looked it up after, and I think it might have been a kingsnake, which is non-venomous. #Phew! We also had someone warn us on our way up that they recently saw a rattlesnake on the path. So watch where you step, and stay on the trail! It took me and my cousin about 2.25 hours to hike to the top and 1.25 to hike to the bottom. I would give yourself at least 4 hours total to do this hike so you have enough time to enjoy the views at the top! It's worth it!

When I moved to Utah, I drove to the nearest office in Orem and had Utah plates in minutes. I was pleased with the service. I thought this was the convenience I was paying for since I didn't need to go to the DMV. I recently called the Orem office and asked what I needed to add my daughter to the registration on one of our vehicles. They said just just the registration, so I drove the 30 minutes to their office and quickly ran into a problem. They said I also needed my vehicle title. They said the employee should have told me that. It was going to be an hour round trip drive home to get the title, so I drove to the DMV in Provo in hopes it would save me from the drive, but it was unusually crowded. I drove home to get the title. I called AAA while driving home to ask another question (I certainly had the time). I explained my vehicle title was issued from my previous state, but my vehicle was registered here. The employee said that was not a problem, but to also bring proof of a smog check just in case. I got home, grabbed the paperwork, and got back on the road to Orem. Employees at the Orem office looked at my vehicle title (AKA pink slip) and couldn't figure out how I had registered my vehicle in Utah [through them], but still have a title out of a different state. I told them I had contacted the Utah DMV and they said the title didn't need to be changed. AAA employees made calls and checked different things but ended up telling me they couldn't add my daughter to the registration and I would need to go to the DMV. They suggested I make and appointment, which was helpful since it was so crowded. The employees were very nice and apologized numerous times for the issues, but this was a big hassle and employees I spoke with on the phone seemed to have no idea what they were doing. I made my appointment, drove to the DMV in Prove, and took a seat since I was quite early. My number was called just a few minutes later (and quite early). I explained the situation to the employee and gave her all the paperwork. She said it was no problem, her fingers were flying all over the keyboard, and I was walking out with the new vehicle registration just minutes later. On a side note, the DMV employee said it would take a couple weeks to get the new title, but I got it three business days later. Seeing as how the DMV is much better in this state than my previous state, I should have gone there in the beginning. Every other experience I had at the DMV here has been surprisingly pleasant. This is one reason to not have AAA. Just a few days later, my daughter needed a tow truck. I told her this is why we had AAA. I got to her work before her shift ended in order to have a tow truck soon after she was off work. I called and had to go through an annoying phone tree. Press this number, press that number, etc. It was extremely annoying. I then was "helped" by a virtual assistant (a computer). It was terrible. Close to an hour later, the text messages from AAA were still saying they were trying to find us a tow truck. Not that one delayed, but they had not yet even found one. I got jumper cables and got my daughter's car started. We left and I called AAA roadside assistance automated system to cancel the service. This was even more terrible since I was now driving and it wanted me to press different numbers on the keypad (at least they were on my dash). I choose the option to cancel. Several minutes later I received another text saying my request was being reviewed by a specialist since finding a tow truck was taking so long. I called back, went through the phone tree, and again cancelled the tow. It seemed to work this time. If you want AAA for the roadside assistance, you may want to first check and see if your credit card offers this. My Visa includes roadside assistance at no extra charge, and I will likely be using it should I need roadside assistance. I also may not be renewing AAA again next year. I just renewed last month, so I have close to year to think about it. One more strike and that's the end of our memberships. AAA - get rid of your terrible automated roadside system. When people need assistance and are possibly in a stressful situation, they don't want to deal with a phone tree and a computer. I was only dealing with a dead battery and your system still managed to make me quite angry. Your system made the situation worse. Is that what I am paying for?
