I had high hopes that HLC would be a good use of time for my son. We spent the $195 for his…read moreassessment which was 6 hours over 2 days. I felt it was a good use of my money and was eager to see the results. After 2 weeks of trying to schedule an appointment to review the results (they insisted both my husband and I be at the meeting with our son- hard to coordinate our family schedules). When we finally sat down with them, though thorough, they proposed a regimen of 2 hours, 3 days a week for a total of over 180 hours, the cost equalling $12,000!!!! When I original spoke to HLC on the phone, they quoted $65 an hour. Nobody said he'd need 6 hours of help a week!!! It seems unreasonable to sit someone down and think they are going to sign up for a bill like that. Plus, they advised if we don't use the hours, they'd refund the rest of the money b/c you have to pay upfront (good luck getting that money back!). I was really disappointed with this. Would NOT recommend going here for an eval. It's a money scam! And expectations should be set up front. Total waste of time.
