A couple decades ago, I signed up with a company called Legal Services Plan (plan), which had a program whereby, for a nominal monthly fee, members could get preliminary legal advice from a lawyer free of attorney fees. Linda Rediger was assigned my plan attorney. One plan provision is that attorneys are to respond to members within 24 hours, unless there are extenuating circumstances. On a few occasions I have contacted Ms. Rediger for legal advice, but she usually took longer than 24 hours to respond to me, and she usually acted like I was unduly inconveniencing her whenever I called or e-mailed. I recently needed legal advice on a matter, so I called and e-mailed her. After not hearing from her for nearly a week, she finally sent me a quick, short reply. I asked her a followup question to ensure I fully understand her response, but she never replied. Then, I e-mailed Ms. Rediger and told her I would be willing to pay her normal fee, provided she would respond to me in a more timely manner. However, I never heard back from her. As timely legal advice is essential when confronted with a legal situation, I cannot recommend Linda Rediger as an attorney. read more
