We were with Lincare for over a year using oxygen for my son. We had great set up service, and technician service. The tech just showed up at our house one day to inspect the machine. He said they had called several times without a response. They had the wrong phone number. I corrected the number. The same thing happened again three months later.
We really did have any contact with them other than those visits for over a year. About a month ago, I tried to order a portable oxygen machine for traveling for our kiddo. I was told to order it two weeks in advance because it had to come up from FL. I asked for it almost a month in advance. As the time got closer for us to travel (a week out), I called again to find out about delivery. I was told it was not ordered, and could not be ordered until my son went to the doctor and was tested for pulm function. Since he is four, that is not a test that he can do. I explained this to Cindy (the gal I was dealing with). I also explained to her that I contacted my insurance company and that test is only required for people over 18 years old. She said she would talk with billing and get back to me. I called again ten days later. She still had not heard from billing, but would not order the portable machine. She tried billing again. After three days of waiting, I called to speak with the manager, Zach. I left two messages without a return call. I stated that it was urgent as we were traveling in less than a week. I called again and was told he was given the messages but was with reps at lunch, and to call back in an hour. I called back. Still unavailable, though in the office.
Three days later, Zach called me back. He told me he had been out of town, and apologized for the delay. At this point, I was furious for being treated poorly by all staff. I told him I knew he was in the office, and was sick of being lied to. I told him we were switching companies, so his services were no longer needed.
We switched to Lifecare solutions. Everything was taken care of professionally and quickly. I had many follow up calls and the delivery was very prompt. I called Lincare to come pick up there equipment. I was told someone was on there way. I waited for 4 hours and no one showed. I called again. I was told they would be out tomorrow at their convenience. I was very rudely told by Cindy that she would request the driver call me before 9 am to tell me what time the driver would be by. Cindy was very sarcastic and rude. Three days later, I still have the equipment. I would NEVER use lincare again after this awful experience. We had to reschedule our trip to see specialists because we could not get a portable machine, even though they are an oxygen company. Ridiculous. read more
