I rarely write reviews, but my experience with Lincare has been so consistently frustrating that I feel obligated to warn others. My health insurance changed months ago, and despite updating the information multiple times online, calling repeatedly, and speaking with at least six or seven different representatives, Lincare still could not correctly update my insurance in their system. Every interaction seemed to start over from scratch, with no apparent communication or follow-through between departments or staff. At this point, I have completely given up on relying on Lincare for my CPAP supplies. I am now purchasing my equipment out of pocket with cash simply to avoid the ongoing administrative chaos and wasted time. As a physician, I understand that healthcare systems can be complicated, and I try to be patient and reasonable with staff. But honestly, I have rarely encountered a company with this level of dysfunction, poor communication, and lack of accountability. The customer service experience has been deeply disappointing from beginning to end. I would not recommend Lincare to patients, colleagues, friends, or family members. Patients who depend on medical equipment deserve far better than this. -- Dr. David Bittleman, MD read more

Do business with LinCare at your own peril. I have a billing issue and they left me on hold over thirty minutes twice now and today their estimator said 116 minutes. Can be fine if they get it right, but if you have an issue and need to call, you are in trouble! read more

This is a company that should not exist. They treat their own customers horribly. Very simple things like: Insurance What has been ordered Size Answering their phone (it took me 10 times trying to reach someone, then I had to show up at their facility. They will do everything possible to screw up your order. Find someone else. read more

Still trying to figure out why the low rating. I've been getting oxygen from the Lincare San Diego branch for 3 years. I've done orders over the phone and been to the onsite office to pick up tanks. Every person I have spoken with has been extremely helpful, but also extremely tender and kind. They do answer the phone during office hours and there is an emergency line for when it is closed. For over 3 years I've never had an issue getting my Oxygen, even when I travel, the San Diego branch reaches out to the branches in my travel area to set up deliveries for tanks and compressors. If I need a tank last minute on a Friday and the next shipment isn't until Monday they happily will still supply you for a pick up at the office often with some friendly chit-chat. The San Diego branch is good people. Just wanted to give people an honest review of someone who has had years of experience with them. read more

Terrible customer service. They delivered a filthy dirty concentrator for my father (with chronic lung condition) when I called to ask them to replace it as he was arriving the next morning they said no, in fact they said he had to wait 5 days and that they could not deliver until then. Of course that wasn't an option, I went to the office to pick up a replacement. The manager Shawn assured me someone from their corporate office would contact me. I have not heard anything. I left him with my business card and explained I had been a nurse for over 20 years and that I would appreciate the courtesy of hearing from the next level up. If they had any sense of urgency what so ever I would have been more gracious in my review. Do yourself a favor, avoid this vendor- it is no surprise their rating is a one- it's a well earned status. read more

Terrible company to deal with. It took 4 months to get my equipment because they did not know how to deal with insurance. Everyone I spoke with on the phone gave me a different story. I spent hours on the phone with them. read more

Thus should be a zero rating because they don't even deserve a 1. This is absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. Their communication is lacking and they will tell you one thing then charge you for anyway. they are absolutely worthless and I would think twice before signing up for their equipment. They have no business running a company. read more

wish there was an option of "not worthy of any star"* impossible to return equipment. no response to 3 request to return equipment. mean while i am sure they charge medicare and insurance. read more

This company deserves 0 stars. They are non responsive. They have been lying to my husband's cardiologist for 3 weeks straight. The "supposed " sales representative was supposed to contact the doctor and Darius promised return calls and follow up that never came through. This company should be reported to Medicare and not allowed in the industry ever. I can't say enough bad things that have happened since trying to get oxygen from them. read more

Lincare charges $27,000 for a 3 month supply of tube feeding to elder patients of esophageal cancer who are too sick to understand what is going on. There is no follow up. Once initiated the boxes keep on coming. The patients believe that Medicare is paying for the medically necessary food. If anything changes with the patient's insurance, since Medicare is suppose to pay for the food, patients think that everything is fine since the. boxes just keep on coming. The company does not follow up every month to seeee what has changed the boxes just keep on coming. I suggest that you verify insurance every month and you STOP sending the food until you know that Medicare will pay you. As of now you appear to be taking advantage of vulnerable seniors. Pls. Include an invoice for the running tab to present as well as the current month' s billing so patients can understand clearly what they owe. As it is now the bill comes separate. It would help clarify billing if it came inside the box every time along with the food. A reminder call would be helpful also. If a bill is overdue, STOP the food delivery so the bill doesn't increase so much. read more

This company has a very robust, unstoppable robocall system. They call me continuously even though I have NEVER had an account with them. I call to ask them to quit calling, but say they can't take my number out of their database unless I give them an account number, which I don't have. Maybe someone with my number had an account with them, but I don't. If they can't track their customers any better, why would ANYONE trust them with medical services? I can block their number but they still leave voice messages, a weakness of T-Mobile. read more

This company has the worst customer service of anyone I have ever dealt with I have an issue with incorrect billing for both myself and my insurance company and unauthorized credit card charges to my account which is now caused my account to be overdrawn and causing me to be charged by my bank I have repeatedly tried to reach the billing inquiries number and I've been placed on hold for 30 to 40 minutes or more without ever reaching anyone I finally have contacted Patient Advocate number that's online to help me resolve this problem but this should not be necessary please read this company's reviews before you use their services I wish I had read more

Lincare was great. when we needed more oxygen, they were here within 24 hours, unless I ask for the same day. They worked through Medicare with no problem for me. read more

Literally the worst medical supplier. I got a call from Erica to "start my account" then she said someone else would call me to get address to know where to ship my daughters supply.. NOOOOO one called me all week. I called on Friday to check why no one had called me. The girl who too my information verified everything, supply, address and informed me how the next order would be supplied and confirmed a week before I ran out. Well it was "delivered" Saturday the next day but to the wrong address.. she obviously didn't update the address and now my daughter is out of supply and the only thing I can do is "order from the website and pay next day shipment" just FYI we're not all made out of money , there's reasons why we go through insurance. read more

I am freaking out. My mom is 92 and late stage COPD. They miss appointments. Took back up tank. Battery is old and won't hold charge for very long and they are not helping. This is life and death and they need to help us. I am very upset with Lincare. ****update- someone at Lincare saw my review and responded immediately. Cesar came to our home just now and took care of our needs. It's nice to see that they are listening. read more

Terrible customer service. My 72 year old mother gets her oxygen supplies from Lincare. Her health greatly depends on the equipment. Apparently there is an issue with payment with her insurance/medical group. Apparently this has been an issue since March, however we were unaware until yesterday, June, 20th when a Lincare rep arrived to pick up the equipment. This was to my mother's suprise and horror, actually. She has recieved no communication from Lincare about the payment issue. When I called for her today, site manager Darius was rude and uncooperative. He was unable to provide me with any information about correspondence attempts but still insisted that the equipment would be picked up in 2 days, period, he was uncomprimising. I explained that I would immediately call the insurance and address the issue, but that it may take longer than 2 days to sort out. When I suggested that it would not be reasonable of the company to take back the equipment without making correspondence attempts, he still insisted that nothing would change the fact that the equipment would be picked up. While the conversation started out decent, is wasn't long before Darius was speaking over me and not actually listening to the customer or willing to work with us in the interest of the patient in question. I eventully went from calm to angry with him. I understand that Lincare is a business but they need to consider that their products are providing actual life support. And at the very least, they should notify the patient in advance if their is a payment issue before taking the devices back. read more

My family only used Lincare because of an existing agreement between Sharp Coronado Hospital and Lincare. Lincare failed to perform adequate service at every juncture. Oxygen was supposed to be delivered within two hours of my mother's discharge. At two hours and 15 minutes, the needle on her tank was near empty and Lincare could not find their driver, after already telling us he was right around the corner 30 minutes earlier. We were on the verge of calling 9-1-1 for an ambulance before someone finally showed up 30 minutes after their two hour deadline. Sharp Coronado said this never should have happened. After failing to provide the correct unit, they had to come back the next day. After my mother passed away, multiple people from Lincare called about picking up the equipment, disturbing my families time of grief, and I was told they would be picking up between 8 and 9:30 the following day. When the driver called at 10, telling me he would be there between 12 and 2, he literally laughed when I told him his office said he would do the pickup by 9:30. More phone calls (with long wait times) we were told we could leave the equipment outside and they would pick it up that day. Lincare did not pickup as they promised and we had to make more phone calls the next day. Ceasar, the route manager, said he could not pickup on a weekend, and would have to wait until the following Tuesday. When asked if they would deliver on a weekend, he said yes, but is not authorized to do a pickup. More phone calls led us to Al, his manager, who also refused to do the pickup, but we could drive to this location for a drop off between 1 and 3. Nobody was there at 1:30, resulting in more phone calls and wait time. Bottom line, if you want to be hassled, insulted and aggrivated when dealing with a life threatening illness, then Lincare is right for you. If you prefer dignity and professionalism, then look for another provider. read more
