I went in, and the staff were wonderful. they could not have been more helpful. I bought three crabs, and they filled a plastic bag with crushed ice, wrapped the crabs in newspaper and placed them in with ice. I arrived home two hours later and enjoyed the first of the crabs. The other two were eaten over the next two days, all in perfect condition and beautifully tasty. I will certainly go there again on any future visit to Cromer .

Everything is as fresh as is possible, being brought straight off of the fishing boats just hours earlier. Cromer crabs are reputed to be the finest in the world, and I'm inclined to believe this. Dressed crabs from £2.50 upwards depending on size. Other seafood includes prawns, mussels, jellied eels, cockles, mackerel, trout, tuna, herrings, soft roe, sea bass, lobster, in fact the produce sold, reflects seasonal availability so will be constantly changing throughout the year. Friendly staff will oblige with cutting off fish-heads if requested, and service is excellent even at busiest times, there always seem to be enough to minimise any waiting. For holidaymakers and tourists who wish to buy for taking home, there is always a supply of ice and paper for wrapping everything up for a long journey.

You will be thrilled by the range of fish! Every colour, size and loads of different species - they will advise on what's `especially good today', recipes, etc. They will gut, descale, fillet, chop, and so on, if you ask - which saves messing up your own kitchen. Irresistible prawns, scallops, crawfish tails, winkles, cockles, mussels, I can't praise them highly enough. Do go for a visit!

Luckily my partner noticed that they had started a delivery service to our area. Needless to say she was on the internet with an order of two crab and seafood platters, 6 massive tiger prawns and 6 local oysters for me. It arrived dead on the time that they stated and was so fresh. Every item was delicious, especially the oysters. However, we still look forward to a visit to Mersea and sitting in the Shed. This used to be a just a library full of thousand and thousands of books but just recently it's had…read morea total revamp and it also lets you borrow audio books, dvds and it also has internet access for you to use too. It's building is one of the original buildings in Loddon and it's situated right beside the Church Plain car park. It also has a seperate childrens section which my children love. The staff here are very helpful and friendly and if there is a particular book that you are looking for and they do not have it in they can tell you when it's next available of if they don't have it they can order it in for you. This library also offers times when you can invite your children in to listen to stories. It's free to join and I would recommend it to all people in the local area.
