The cinnamon raisin bun I had almost redefined breakfast for me; it was greasy like a doughnut and totally tasty. The coffee was good -- it's soup-bowl sized (love) and strong enough to get you going for a day of adventure.
Love the decor here too; it's not a huge place, so difficult to get a seat to appreciate it, but there's a map on the wall so you can plan world domination (or world exploration, like me) and a really, really cool lampshade. Basically, when I (if I) have a place of my own, I'll style it out in homage to Kaffebrenneriet. (Well, a room at least.)
The staff were lovely and the price seemed standard. (That is, pricey for us Brits but reasonable for Oslo!) I like the massive window at the front to gaze out of and the mini al fresco arrangement. It's all cosy and whimsical.
