On the…read morerecommendation of a friend, who knew that I didn't want to be yelled at, belittled, scared, made to feel like I didn't belong, and didn't want to sit among hypocrites, I gave this church a try. I adore the pastor, the congregation is warm and friendly and I enjoy my Sunday morning among the people of Calvary Baptist Church. I feel like I'm welcome here.

But this unique building just caught my eye and drew me to it. It was quite interesting to see. The architecture was quite unusual for the small area in town. I could not go inside so I'm not sure what it look like inside but from what I saw through the windows it was quite nice. If I had the time I would definitely go back that way and just want to take a look see inside and see what's going on in America. After all isn't that part of the reason for road trips? What's a girl to do? If something calls your name you go to it and check it out.

Yes yes this church was in the Walking Dead tv show but let's put that aside for real history!!!…read moreThis church building has been here for way north of 100 years and is not only active but thriving. I walked amongst the graves this afternoon and found a headstone from the Spanish American war circa 1898 no doubt he fought alongside theater Roosevelt and the Roughriders against Spain to free Cuba. " hence Cuba's favorite drink the Cuba libre" but I digress. Again this church is loaded in thick history and is worth a visit "maybe even A church service, wink wink" if you are in the area.
