Meet the Business Owner: Fred S.

Fred Sullivan is a member of the National Association of Professional Band Instrument Repair Technicians and has been a music instrument repair specialist since 1973. Sullivan earned a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Arts Education, and trained under two master craftsman. For three years, he was an apprentice under Charles Unruh, Selmer Company's first flute apprentice. In addition, Sullivan spent two years working at Desert Winds Music in Tempe, Arizona, and taught for four years in Arizona. He also worked in and/or managed instrument shops in Ohio and Kansas for a total of 25 years, before opening his own custom workshop in 2003: Lighthouse Music Services. For more than 35 years, Fred Sullivan has been servicing and repairing instruments for student, collegiate and professional clients across the United States. He is often sought out for his expertise in the repair field by other repair shops.
