It gives me great ideas on how to improve my own gym in every aspect. I dropped in on Wednesday morning during the 5am class on 10/16/2024. The coach was said "hi" but that was about it. The coach never held a whiteboard talk about what the program was for the day. Did not go over the warm up or even demo a movement. Did not speak on the "left" or "Metcon" potion. She was too busy warming up, lifting and workout herself. No sense of care or motivation for any athlete to do good or be better. Also when class ended, she was the first one out the door to leave. Do what you will with the information I have presented to you but people pay a good price for more than that experience. I definitely will not be dropping into this location again.

Holmes Sensei is working on some very interesting internal mechanics that offer new and experienced students alike plenty to explore. What I really don't like, though, is how they crammed all the free weights in the small nook in the back. It's just way too crowded in there. It would've been nice to co-locate those with the bench presses. The multipurpose/spin room on the second floor is nice and offers various ways to connect your ipod or P90X/Insanity videos in their DVD player. I wish they'd have more of the kettle bells though. They offer a few classes here but they seem to be at times that aren't really when people can work out. There are 2 basketball/volleyball courts on the opposite end of the weight room and they're pretty nice but they're always being used so try to reserve gym time after 7pm which is when you're able to reserve the courts. I haven't really made it out to the annex hangar but I did peek in and noticed a cross-fit kind of rig with rings to hang from. I need to try working out with those one of these days just to check it out. There's also an indoor track there where you can run like 12 laps to do the PT test (1.5mi). Its got some kind of rubber padding, but kind of ghetto. Bottom line: The gym has more workout machines you can imagine, but I never use any of them and I think a lot are kind of a waste of space that can be used for free weights. Some of the rooms lack good ventilation but overall, it's a decent place to work out.
