Chicjen breast sandwich w/fresh dressed side salad.

Quaint lil cafe right downtown! Super easy to stroll the town and stop in for a hot drink or a bite to eat. Super busy, friendly staff, food looks homemade in the small but lively kitchen, specials are available until all gone, menu's are printed on papers to share at the counter, beautiful view of the water outside while you wait on your food order, constant "ding" on the order ready bell fills the conversation sounds and everyone is happy either eating or talking among themselves. Food is clean and freshly made, not "fancy" food but real food. Sandwiches come with a fresh salad, cups/bowls of soup are available as well. Perfect for a cool fall day!! Restaurant inside is clean and warm!

The decor here is completely confusing. A lighthouse cafe should scream seafood, not Chinese restaurant.

One of the worst experiences. I work as a server another restaurant in snohomish, so keep in mind I know how the system is suppose to work. My mother and I have a time share in port Townsend and never came in to the lighthouse cafe. We decided to give it a try as clam chowder sounded good. We get inside and instantly feel out of place. Chinese styled chairs with thick wood tables, Chinese art and Indian pots in the corner. We sat down anyways, to be greeted by the cook who was also our server. I ordered the hot dog and a small thing of clam chowder, and my mother (who has diet restrictions) got a bacon burger no bun with a side salad. My hot dog came out first, 5 minutes later my side of clam chowder, 8 or so minutes after that my mothers food came out. Food was okay, clam chowder tasted clamless, but my mother enjoyed her burger concoction. At one point I asked for a water and he brought out a glass of ice... I just think the guys head was else where, the restaurant itself doesn't make sense (Chinese in a supposedly seafood restaurant based off the name) and the service was half assed. Probably won't be coming back. GREAT location and view, and quiet which gained one star. Otherwise, I hope they really pull it together!

Simple diner food! Loved the blueberry hot cakes!!! Egg Benedic was really tasty too.

I love the Lighthouse Cafe! The decor, the staff, the excellent coffee. It's all worth the stop on your way through Port Townsend.

Salish Grill far exceeded our expectations! We got a table in the outside deck. It was a sunny, overcast day with a nice breeze, so we thought the weather was perfect to eat outside. We had some good seagull and water watching. Our server was very attentive and knew her menu well. My husband got a cup of the clam chowder and said it was one of the best ones he's had. I got the fried Brussels sprouts, and could have ordered 2 more to have as my dinner! They were amazing! My husband got the Manila Clams & Penn Cove Mussels Linguine. He ate every bite and would have finished the sauce if he had a straw. I got the Greek Beet Pita Sandwich--SO GOOD! And the fries were the best I've ever had. They were so crispy on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside. We can't wait for our next road trip to Port Townsend so we can come back to Salish Grill. It is a winner!

Don't let that keep you from this delicious, cozy restaurant. Locals here abound which in my opinion speaks volumes about their food and service. I had the El Portal Burger-so good, perfectly cooked and the flavors worked. The French fries were hot, crisp and just the right amount of salt. My partner had had the fish and chips and he said the fish was hand cut. No drinks or dessert for us but I would come back here again and I highly recommend this restaurant.

Cool little Mexican restaurant in downtown Port Townsend. Old town cafe vibe with Mexican cuisine…read morethat uses some local PNW sourced ingredients. Both tacos we had were fantastic, and the chips and guacamole were great too. The tortilla chips were warm and tasty so I assume that they prep them on site. My daughter loved the horchata too. But the food most definitely fell flat (sorry). The chicken burrito I ordered tasted like it was stuffed with Wonder Bread. (But that's not a bad thing if you like Wonder Bread -- many older people in the Pacific NW can't handle anything spicier than ketchup, so maybe this "works" for them. It was certainly soft, fresh and chewy Wonder Bread, so full credit for that.) The home-made tortilla chips were a very nice touch, very crunchy. The salsa served with it (verde and rojo) was a bit disappointing. If Gerber Baby Food made salsa, this would be it. Fresh, pretty bland, and had the consistency and texture of applesauce. They have a few unmarked bottles of house-made salsa, made with apple cider (according to one of the waitstaff) which was a bit spicier, but an unusual flavor. (My wife guessed that it had been made with beer.) So if you love Mexican food, but can't tolerate anything spicier than mayonnaise, this would be a great choice.
