I can't get over that it was built in the early 1800's. In the front, you will catch a sign about Lowell Mason. He played music here in the 1800's. You can also see more of his background on the picture. It is also hard to believe that this church was in the Forrest Gump movie when the feather falls from above, that is here. At the beginning of the service, the pastor instructed everyone to greet their neighbors in the pews, and that was the last anyone acknowledged me. The congregation (which skewed to young families and where seniors like me seemed to only be in attendance as part of a multi-generational family unit) were friendly with each other but not welcoming. There was mention of a "welcome table," however, as an introvert, I was not inclined to seek it out. There was no fellowship following the service.
