First, I want to stress that my experiences are unique to me and I'm not trying to generalize. Over the past 20+ years, I've had the opportunity to work with some great and not so great photographers. As a promotional model in the past, working trade shows, you need to keep an updated portfolio to book gigs. I would shoot with photographers, get a CD lol with 100+ images and hope that 2 or more would work for my portfolio. Most of the time, I could find a few that I really liked and I can still appreciate them today. Then there are those that never did a thing for me, and I discarded. Fast forward about 20 years later.... Now in my professional career, I've needed to get updated corporate photos for quite some time but was ok with silly selfies like the one on my google profile lol. Ok, so it was time to get serious... I then asked my broker for a referral and was given a name and number. Instead of me calling this guy, I googled the agent who he had photographed to see her image on her website, and I have to say that I wasn't impressed. She was very washed out and cloudy almost like a ghost. I then scrolled through all her staff photos assuming it was the same photographer and started to get that Kmarty vibe. Well, that wasn't going to work for me, so I started to search out photographers on google and came across tons of Kmarty JcPennyish photography studio vibes out there. Lots of bad lighting and cheesy poses. OMG! Maybe, I'm just used to better quality than what I was finding in today's market. Then, I came across Light Images. Scrolled through her corporate images and I was sold! I was also praying that I could afford to work with her because her photography was incredible. Perfect lighting, no cheesy poses. Sign me up! lol I immediately called her, and she was pleasant on the phone, completely professional and I was able to coordinate a shoot that was convenient for me. Everything was as she had said on the phone from my arrival to setup in her studio. She had everything ready to go and the whole process was quick. She had such great energy and I really enjoyed working with her. Then, the moment of truth... After the shoot, sitting with Susan as she pulled up the photos. I was over the moon! Wow! What a relief to see my images in perfect lighting, perfect everything. It was so difficult for me to weed out anything. lol She is AMAZING!!!! In the end, I ended up buying more than I had planned but it was so worth it... Today is Sunday and I didn't expect to hear from Susan, but she texted me to say my images were ready and she needed my email. Shortly after, I checked my email and I have to say that I was moved to tears... I had a good cry but they were tears of joy, gratitude, and appreciation... I was overwhelmed by the quality of her work. To see myself so beautifully in a way I haven't been able to really see in the mirror, but Susan was able to capture the essence of my beauty through her camera lens. Susan is a gifted artisan and if I didn't share all my thoughts and experience, I would feel greedy! I honestly believe that if you don't trust Susan to take your photos, you're only cheating yourself. Seriously! She is the best and I can't stop raving about her and my experience. I plan to do more shoots with Susan with my family and boyfriend. My only regret is that I didn't find her in my earlier years. Thank you, Susan! For the nonprofit I was about to lead, I needed a professional head-shot taken. Boy was I nervous. How would my hair look, my makeup and what was I going to wear? I bought a Groupon for a couple's boudoir photo shoot and immediately after speaking with Susan on the phone to set up an appointment, I KNEW she was going to be awesome. She's very energetic and nice. Her studio has a locked door that she has to unlock in order for you to get in, which is great for privacy reasons. She has her work adorning the walls of her studio as you walk to the back, she has multiple small set ups, as well as a dressing room. She asked to see my outfits and asked my husband which one was his favorite, so he showed her and so that's the one she had me wear. We did a few photos with the outfit on, and then she had me strip down to my birthday suit! She is so blunt and casual about it, you can't help but be comfortable with her! After the shoot, she loaded the photos onto the computer and had us sit down so we could start to go through them and find the ones we liked. I expected to walk out with just the one 5x7 that came with the Groupon. Instead, we saw so many that we just loved that we ended up ordering a photo book full of them! Susan does AMAZING work, she's a complete natural and really knows what she's doing. The photo book is a bit steep in price (depending on how many photos you purchase), but it is so worth it. We have these great photos to treasure and we really enjoyed having them taken. It's an experience worth having at least once in your life! read more

How do I explain what an amazing experience I had with Susan. First before I even booked I called, texted, emailed several different boudoir photographers and Susan was the only one who wanted to spend a moment on the phone to talk with me. That alone is worth 5 stars. If I'm getting naked in front of someone it would be nice to make sure I feel comfortable, right? She communicated via text to confirm and gave me directions. I arrived a few minutes early and was welcomed in to the studio, provided a clean and private place to change. She helped me select which of the outfits I brought to wear. Taking her time to help me feel at ease and guided me into each pose. Making me relaxed and feeling gorgeous. We did a few backdrop changes and outfit swaps which gave us a lot of chose from in the end. We had almost 90 photos to review and I would say less than 5 were ones I wouldn't buy as in She is that amazing - raw images I would have taken almost everyone. She helped me narrow them down to a reasonable number (ten) and I am just reeling with how easy this was and will be back for more photos in the future. read more

In preparation for a long Valentines weekend in Las Vegas I checked out Group On and found an offers for boudoir photo shoots. I called Susan to find out more about the process and, after a short conversation, booked an appointment. Her studio is located in a condo complex which although is unorthodox I found it surprisingly comfortable. There's something about getting undressed in an environment that feels more like a home than an office. I had planned to drive to her new location but, due to car trouble, took an Uber. I arrived with a small variety of lingerie which Susan was eager to see. Knowing what I was going to wear (or not wear) gave Susan the information to set up the shots in the most fluid and economical fashion. She told me what her general plan was for the entire shoot and then what to wear for the first shoot. Susan gave clear, easy directions and was complementary during the shoot. She helped me feel relaxed, beautiful and sexy! She was incredibly efficient too - she knew exactly what she wanted to do next and I suspect she was always 10 steps ahead. When she was finished with the shoot she invited me to get dressed and join her at the computer. I believe she had taken 80 photographs. I choose my favorites and got the number down to 25ish. From there Susan helped me choose the perfect number of images and quoted me a reasonable price. I ordered digital photos (which are being touched up) and am eagerly awaiting their arrival. This was such a fun event! The day before I went shopping for the lingerie and booked an appointment to have my make-up done the day-of (MAC). I used Uber for the first time to get to the studio. Susan was so fun, engaging and personable. She is not only a true professional but what I like to call "good people." She even drove me back to the Strip to avoid an additional Uber fare! I saw the Groupon Susan posted and thought I would try it for my husband for his birthday. Well after I we met and I saw her work, I decided to take it to the next level. I went all out and did the personalized book. The book was very elegent and yet discrete, it also came in a black box for privacy. The shoot started out slow so I could get comfortable and she was very good at giving me direction so it didn't look like it was my first time. As others have said, a glass of wine or two will help you make the most of this unbelievable experience. I will never be a playboy centerfold, but Susan made me feel like I was. Susan is amazing. My boyfriend and I were planning a trip with my family out to Vegas so we signed up for local Groupons to get a few other event ideas, and Light Images Boudoir photo shoot came up. We called before our trip to check on availability prior to leaving and not only did she have availability but she would also honor the voucher even if we didn't buy in. The door is locked at all times for privacy so we rang the buzzer to get in and as soon as you walk through the door you are surrounded by portraits of her work. Since we were doing a Boudoir shoot she went through a few photo books of her work and went over a few ideas that she had for us. She talked about our comfort levels and what we were looking to get out of it and as others have mentioned all this was done over a glass of wine or two. In her words "whatever it takes to get you loosened up." She explained her natural light room which I can't really do but it's brilliant. She gave us each very simple instructions adn used a couple of different backgrounds. I even brought in a couple of things of my own and we used them. Throughout the photo shoot she'd periodically show us the photos. And to be honest they looked great with no photo editing. By the end of the whole thing I was standing in the dressing room watching my boyfriend having a conversation with Susan and he was butt naked like it was nothing. I laughed but still. Overall is was a great experience and I look forward to doing it again one day. We may have "bought into" the Groupon but the work was so good that we ended up with 14 prints!!!!! What a wonderful experience!!! Never having done Boudoir pictures before, my adventure started with a warm welcoming personal call from Susan. Holy cow. Susan is amazing. I bought a Groupon to do a boudoir photo session (well, I guess it could have been used for other stuff, but that's what I used it for). It was a week prior to my wedding and I did this as a gift for my hubby. She talked to me about what I wanted to acomplish with the photos and looked over what I brought with me--and she noticed how nervous I was and brought me a glass of wine!
