Levitz strongly adviced me to accept their 200k settlement offer. We had no chance at winning in court, they would claim freak accident. He got 75k from that 200k. They payed me in payment installments. After I fired him, he told me that he didn't want to bankrupt the company. With my Workmen's Comp case, he made false promises, that I would get 100% disabled, I got 86% disabled, he got 17k for that. He put a lien on my award after i fired him. He wants another piece of the pie, if I decide to settle my Workmans Comp on my own. Please stay away, no one escapes YHWH YESHUAS judgement, even if they don't believe in GOD. I was 25 years old in 2002, was overworked, company didn't provide safety harness. I fell off a roof. Broke my back, burst fracture fusion spinal cord injury. These sorts of cases naturally require a depth of collaboration with clients and providers. Instead, this office rejected my case based on the voice answering machine and contradicted their agreement to have me speak to an intake coordinator at such a difficult time. I later spoke to the answering machine department and Dana (definitely starts with a D and sounds like Dana) is an unnecessarily rude person who would utterly insist that the case be rejected and not allow a vocal conversation to be heard with an intaker. When asked about proper manners (the scheduled appt), she made an ending conversation about how I am "arguing" and ended the phone call unequally. It is not an argument. It is about conversation and agreement but clearly this office hires truly abhorrent people who don't know how to have conmunication ettiqute nor quality understanding. At first I believed she was an excellent attorney and was very hopeful. That changed quickly. She heavily promotes the recent bench trial verdict in In re Durable Power of Attorney of Dock Dean (Case No. 23STPB13044, Los Angeles Superior Court) as a $47 million victory on her firm's website and in press releases. In reality, this appears to be self-promotion. She went after the easiest targets among the three defendants, obtained a large judgment that has not yet resulted in meaningful recovery for the estate, and is now billing my father's estate for hundreds of thousands of dollars--amounts that independent tax and estate planning professionals have told me provided no real benefit to my father. Her most serious error was representing two beneficiaries with unequal interests in the estate--the victim's son and granddaughter--creating a clear non-waivable conflict of interest. This led to her actively pitting me against my niece and permanently damaging our family relationship. She has since become adversarial toward me in court filings, including making negative statements about me that appear to violate basic attorney ethics rules. What should have been her breakthrough case instead exposed disloyalty and poor judgment. I also experienced her overstepping her role as an attorney. She repeatedly tried to control aspects of my personal and financial life and offered financial advice without any qualifications to do so. Her communication style was often intimidating and made me feel pressured rather than supported. Former employees have posted concerning reviews on Glassdoor about the work environment at Evans Law Firm, which aligns with my experience.
