One of my favorite spots at the Mercadoteca. They have over 20 draft beers. Nice variety. Reasonably priced, I believe a pint of the cheapest beer goes for R$10. You can also fill up your growler. read more

Our Earthwatch crew stopped here at Bierland on our day off. One of my colleagues came from Germany, and he thought it ironic that he traveled half way across the world just to be culturally back. We took a tour and spent some quality time in their nicely appointed bier garden. The service was very good, tood is available, and although not much English was spoken, the universal language of beer flowed well. I had a nice stout and bought a nice mug (among an extensive glassware collection - another aspect of this area). Best of all we had a great time just hanging out and enjoying each other's company.

You can order your food and go check out the goods and food on the shelves while you re waiting for your food. The food itself was mixed. The risottos were both excellent (mushroom and salmon) but the salmon filet was far too cooked. We got bruschetta for appetizer which was a nice start to the meal. At the end, we tried their ice cream: ypy. We have not found them in any other restaurant to date! Overall, I give them four star because the concept was original and the risottos really yummy, but do not venture into trying the salmon filet, you will be very disappointed.

The staff was very polite and friendly and they let me try out a few samples. They were also willing to explain to me any flavor I was unsure of.
