Based on some of the reviews and the Christian atmosphere, I decided to go with Lifeway. I purchased a home in Aug 2022. It was damaged on delivery 8/23 when they ran into my entryway.
I asked for the home to not be set until the hole in the wall was fixed and to let the concrete cure, but they went ahead and set the home on sept 6th, removed the wheels and axles and funds were released.
- That's correct, they got paid and I am making mortgage payments but cannot live in my home yet. -.
It wasn't until I was able to schedule a meeting with Mike on 10-12 that the home started being worked on (only two things are finished, block wall & electric). From 9-6 to 10-13 no one came to our property to work on anything.
They told me at the meeting on 10/12 the delay for working on the home was they had to go to Kansas (to Skylines factory) for a window and a special 4x9 sheets to be able to fix the hole they put in the side of the home. It is a 4x8 sheet from Lowes!!
The first day someone came back was Oct 14th, 37 days after the home was set. I made a mortgage payment during that time and still the home is not livable. At the meeting, we were told 3wks to move in (Nov 2nd-3rd). It is currently 11/7 and we have still not moved in. The home is still not finished. Missing appliances, a/c, trim looks awful, exterior not complete as well as a long list that was discussed in our Oct 12th meeting. I have reached out by phone, text, and email with little to no communication. I have asked multiple times for an update.
Tyler said on Saturday to forward the email to him and he would get us a timeline, nothing.
Russell says he will try to come out on Wednesday but when asked for a confirmation he has not responded.
I have taken off work multiple times to be there when workers are present so I know things are done right because Lifeway is not good about notifying me when they will be there or not.
