The exhibits were nicely organized and flowed well. The Richmond Art Center seems well-maintained overall and they did an excellent job with the opening reception, including the yummy food and drinks in the courtyard. I just wish they had more seating during events. While making my way around, I saw artwork from local students as well and the classrooms in the back which was cool. If you're an East Bay local, I highly recommend stopping by the Richmond Art Center at some point or checking out their class offerings.

I am always impressed by the caliber of the work on display, regardless of whether it's the work of professionals or young children who have taken classes at the center or work from area schools in coordination with their art teachers. Workshop participants created a paper plate "succulent" to take home. Although the workshop required pre-registration, it was free. Many parents worked along side their young children,?while teenagers clustered together. The presenter's own sculptures reminded me of Dr Seuss drawings come to life. It was evident that a fun time was had by all.

Hey Everyone!!!! OMG…read more- so today I had to re-exam to renew my CNA license. Which was a bummer, because I did not know how to obtain the correct CEU's. I was so nervous, because I haven't took this state exam in 2 years, and I did not know if it was going to be with others, a large size class or anything... just going in blind. I remember when I had took my exam 2 years ago for the first time, I was with my classmates. However, I got here very early. I was the first to arrive. Later, I was greeted and welcomed by a beautiful nice woman name Mrs. Drusilla. She opened up at Vasco Career College, and she then opened the for for me and told me to come inside to have a seat. I was so nervous you guys, and she was very nice it sort of soothed my demeanor. I then checked in with her to begin my written exam first, I explained to her how nervous I was and this was for my renewal. She literally turned to me and looked in my eyes, and stated, " you will be fine ". I honestly felt like this was a sign from god. I then took my exam, in a very quiet room, she went over everything for me in full detail. The rooms were spacious, clean and organized. After, it was time to take my skills exam. Again, y'all, very nervous and I sat in another room, (room C ), while another student finished their skills exams. Once, this student was close to finished, I was asked to be the patient for them. I was introduced to my Proctor, she was so sweet and pleasant. Her name was Mrs. Bella, she reminded me of a sweet family member you just hug when you see them. After, I helped the other student, it was my turn, my pulse was going a 1000x per sec. She told me to calm down, again, nice and pleasant. I finished and felt so good about my outcome with taking both my exams here just due to their personalities and how nice they were. This helped me in ways they will never know I needed, just them being kind. I have not received my results yet, or do not know if I passed, but I wanted to share with everyone a great place to come take you exams and also.... * As I was leaving, Mrs. Drusilla heard me state I was renewing my CNA license and she informed me on next time, what to do in order to receive my continuing education credits, to qualify for approval from California Department of Health. THEY HAVE A WEBSITE, www.cnabase.com ONLINE, and they offer the in person CEU's in person at their school. You guys I could have cried right there. Renewing my license was the hardest thing ever for me, and I felt like it should have not been. I asked everyone and no one could give me the correct information on where to go or how to obtain your continuing education credits. So, I want to share with everyone so they do not go through what I went through, the panic, stress, and anxiety on having to take the state exam over.... you can take these CEU's with them!!! DON'T WALK, RUN TO THEIR CAMPUS.. THEY OFFER SEVERAL OTHER CLASSES AS WELL, CHECK THEM OUT!!!!

I took the evening class because that's the only way I was able to attend class while juggling with work and being a mom. My instructor Bianca was amazing! She guided me and encourage me to do my best especially when I was close to taking my NHA exam. Bianca provided all the resources that I needed when it comes to my assignments, labs, and my exam. After graduating from the program, I was assigned to a clinic for my externship and my instructor also have been keeping in touch with me while I was in my externship. I couldn't have done all of this if it wasn't for my instructor and Mrs. Dru who also went above and beyond, most especially she was so happy for me that I was able to complete my externship. I highly recommend enrolling in Vasco Career College for anyone who is starting out in the medical field.

She manages to make time for everyone, has a sense of humor and endless patience. There were times where I just couldn't express my thoughts in clear way, not knowing any sewing jargon, and she graciously did her best to understand. Her experience and ability to sew and teach are very impressive, there's nothing she can't do. I hope to continue learning from her in the future. I've even signed my 7 year old up for a week of summer camp with Barbara.

Having designed costumes and doll clothing gives me a well rounded set of sewing skills that are not taught in books and classes, which I pass on to my students. Students appreciate my experience, resulting in my ability to help them with not only the skill of sewing, but with suggestions and solutions to help them add their own personal statement to what they are sewing, such as embroidery, quilting, appliqué, beading, fabric pattern combining, dyeing, and creative cutting/patterning options that can be applied to their chosen project, as well as tailoring, draping, and patternmaking.

I would recommend this school. Overall, it was a good experience. Their prices are reasonable so…read morethat shouldn't be an issue. They will send you three books to work through and that part works perfectly fine. There were a few times the test marked my answer as wrong when it was correct. I emailed the school to correct so you shouldn't have that problem. The major thing you should know is that once you complete all your courses and submit your combination (make sure you do the combination in which you pay for test and application at the same time), it will take about 2 months to get a test date. I was told 2 to 3 weeks. That is incorrect. You can actually go to their website and they can tell you exactly which applications they are working on....so if they are working on 1/12/22 apps today, you know they are over 2 months behind. So just be patient bc you will get an email that will allow you to take your test. Then the test date will be about 2 to 3 weeks away. I also took a study session through CES(not Mrs. Charlotte)...honestly most things in that session was not on the test but by the grace of God I passed on the first time. I would recommend maybe checking into other study sessions as well. The thing I loved about this test is you only have to get 70% (although if you pass you will never know your final grade). And two of the 4 questions will be easy to eliminate. So even if you don't know the answer, you have a 50/50 chance of getting this right. Anywho, I'm signed on with a Realtor and very happy about the start of my new career. Thanks to this school for getting me there!

She has good prep questions you can study online. Make sure you are getting at least %85 on that prep questions before you take real test. All you need is sign up with her and study! She is very busy person, but always answers questions within 30 min if you need to ask something. It took me less than 5 months to get my license and I am ready to work right now. I highly recommend this school.
